You stay safe and warm too cat !! Just heard tomorrow night could be -50 below F with wind chill. I am refusing to accept it! No, just NO!! So disgusting. I've been wearing a hat every day for the last three months. I think it's only been above zero three days in the past two months. I hope your car starts! Not sure if I will be venturing out tomorrow at all... I am not going out either! Just to let my car run a bit. I felt bad that Scott, who works in this nasty stuff, had to go outside in it today to change the battery on my car! Going to make chili and cinnamon rolls tomorrow and read! Haha Scott has to work outside??! Oh no. That shouldn't even be legal! Praying he stays safe and warm too. (I'm going to make chili tomorrow too. Was going to attempt it tonight, but I don't think I have enough energy.)

And anything else they need, the drills, haul trucks, you name it. This kind of cold makes things snap. He is in it all the time, no matter what. So I felt really bad that he had to go out on a day off today to fix my car.

The graveyard shifts were the worst (on him and everyone around him! Lol).

Nights, off, days, off...rinse and repeat. We all do nights when he is on nights and day shifts are for catching up on chores. 😉

Another weekend of high actual temperatures of -2 degrees F. Not even going to mention wind chill temps. It's March for gawd's sake!
Stay warm Morgan! Same here, we did not get above -4 today I think. Before wind chill. It is -8 feels like -24 right now and wind chill temps are expected to be between -30 and -40 overnight. Sooooo tired of this extreme cold. We have had below 0 temps for most of February, and now into March. My car would not start today. First time I have had that problem with it. Luckily we had a spare battery here. Will have to start it before I go to bed and let it run a while. SIGH!!!! Don't you have a block heater? I like to plug mine in when I know I have to go out - it warms up the oil and makes it more liquid - otherwise it becomes somewhat like the consistency of toothpaste.
By the way it's the wind chill that is the most dangerous - so easy to get frostbite before you realize it's happened!

Haha Chili sounds really good - I made a lasagna with lots of cottage cheese mixed with oregano and smoked Parmesan mixed in (and layers of meat sauce of course).
I only did two layers of noodles then put lots of shredded mozzarella in between the layers.

I went for a walk after work today. My normal walk is about 3 miles (1.5 each way). The weather was great when I started but on the way back I got nailed by a very fast moving cold front. I was about 10 minutes from home when it started raining and I got drenched (with cold water!).
Of course, Neesy wouldn't have considered the rain cold. It was like Canadian bath water.

I hope my answer is going to show up (first time posting on my phone) Lol - I guess I do make it sound like I live in an igloo, drive a dog sled and eat whale blubber sandwiches Plus it sounded like I was giving catinabag or cat a lecture about not plugging in - sorry! That cold rain blowing in from the ocean must be awful wireman - try to stay warm and dry!

Scott has one on his truck. But, have never had any trouble before. Think my battery was just getting old. As long as I go start it and let it run 15-20 minutes and warm up when it is that cold, it always starts right up for me.

Another blizzard predicted between tomorrow night through Sunday. Here too, this afternoon into tomorrow afternoon. 😤😖🤬 Only winter storm here, not calling it a blizzard but it will be blizzard conditions if the wind gets up where they think it will be.

I'm hoping it will be downgraded to a winter weather advisory. Last I heard - 4-6" of snow and 35+ mph winds. I guess a lot of church services have already been canceled for Sunday. The eastern part of the state might get up to a foot. There is concern about flooding this spring in the Red River Valley. My brother lives in Fargo and would be affected. I pray for his sake and everyone else's that it doesn't!
