Here too, this afternoon into tomorrow afternoon. 😤😖🤬 Only winter storm here, not calling it a blizzard but it will be blizzard conditions if the wind gets up where they think it will be. I'm hoping it will be downgraded to a winter weather advisory. Last I heard - 4-6" of snow and 35+ mph winds. I guess a lot of church services have already been canceled for Sunday. The eastern part of the state might get up to a foot. There is concern about flooding this spring in the Red River Valley. My brother lives in Fargo and would be affected. I pray for his sake and everyone else's that it doesn't!I am not sure how old you are morgan, but do you remember the big flood from 1997? Grand Forks was hit hard by that one and that's just up the road from Fargo.
I hope it's not as bad as that one was - the military was involved - they called it The Flood of the Century
Winnipeg was lucky - we have the big ditch that has been dug all around the perimeter of the city - the Red River Floodway, and I remember flying over the south end of the province in a helicopter - it was quite a sight to see. (We landed in Emerson which is close to the border with the US)
Saying a prayer for your brother that it's not too bad this year

Yes, I remember seeing all the news footage and pictures of Grand Forks during the flood. I went to UND for 2 1/2 years before transferring. It hadn't been long since I'd moved away, and the videos of the university with all the water rushing through the streets were eerie and surreal.

Just awful.
Storm and heavy rain. And the forecast said that there is another storm front approaching

Yes, to echo Spidey: "Sunshine on my shoulders almost always makes me high. If I had a day that I could give you, I'd give to you a day just like today..."
Warm days and joy to those in need. This is one of my favorite songs. I never get tired of it. Peaceful and honest and beautiful.

Things are looking dicey out West- avalanche warnings and extreme snowfall. Anyone heard from our Colorado gang? I read where cars and homes were being buried and roads haven't been cleared in some cases. Hope everyone is safe.

I can see why he's using a yellow ball rather than a white one

Sunny and bright, blue sky, crisp air at 70F. Perfect weather. Same here. We are at around 60 but it's sunny, no clouds, and I've been sweating.

It's 74 at the moment. The yellow jasmine is bright and robust in the front yard and the butterflies are feeding from its flailing tendrils. At the base of the shrub which houses the jasmine is an equally healthy azalea bush popping with hot pink. This morning I saw a bluebird with pine straw in its beak; I think it was helping the female make her nest before she lays her eggs. Do males do that? Dunno.

Little bit gloomy and rainy. But rain=spring!! 🤗 (Snow showers are forecast for later this week again.) Our rain has stopped for now - instead it's a snowy and windy day.
I suppose this is good (a gradual thaw) but still, it's nicer when it's sunny out!

Sunshine and 16°C/60°F Nature is waking up pretty quick now
Here is one from about one week ago - we went down to The Forks and saw a few Canada geese coming in for a landing - I fed one a bit of bread as I had just bought a loaf of cracked wheat bread inside at the bakery (Speaking of baking - I am making some applesauce spice muffins with raisins and blueberries - they smell so good!
We went down there to see if the river ice was melting yet but it was still there (just not advisable to walk on it) - unless you're a goose!

Do you also have these crazy people, who had to enter a frozen lake, even it was one frosty day ?
