Cross stitching is proof that I have the patience to stab something millions of times.
This tree skirt is 17 weeks of stitching. The actual Xs and /s are complete, and next week I will start the outline which brings the picture to life.
It is a wedding gift for my niece.

Lock down has resulted in a lot of stitching. I made this one for my youngest son’s partner and got it to them in time for our Christmas Eve zoom. They had no idea I was making it.

I also finished these two for last Christmas. They were for my brother’s son-in-law and daughter-in-law.

They look so complex! It would take me months just to do a small section that would never look as good as those. Well done.

Finished two more. Aida’s I did make into a stocking and it’s been delivered. But I forgot to take a picture of it completed. Caleb’s I just finished the stitching. Since my sewing machine tried to eat Aida’s, I’m a bit scared to finish it, lol.

Oops. Just saw that I forgot to outline the ribbon at the bottom. Pictures always show the flaws....which is actually a good thing.

Just a beautiful job. It must take alot of patientce . to do such fine work. A stocking like this is about 125 hours of cross stitch, plus a day to put it together. It would take less time to put together but I procrastinate....scared every step will ruin my work.
