but they've got stories to go with them,
and honestly I don't feel up to writing a whole bunch today. 🙂

Something from the oil painting feature on that better ap.
It's not great, but I like it for the way horse mane and forelock came out.
Those individual coarse looking hairs.
Horse hair.... whether it be mane, tail or coat is....just good tough, useful and beautiful stuff....

A song came up in my play lists that reminded me I was going to post a few things here.
Also, just the other day I was looking around on youtube
for the 1977 Ralph Bakshi animated movie
"Wizards"....
Back on that old lesser art app we talked about all kinds of things,
books, music and film.
I had a friend, a young girl in her late teens,
who did a lot of anime type characters in her artworks.
Once she asked her friends and followers to choose one or two of her subjects,
and do them in our own styles.
My other Eastern European friend got into too,
and submitted some of his art.
(He and I had both been specifically invited.)
I picked one of her elven type characters,
because I liked the colors she used,
and it reminded of the elves in the post apocalypse film 'Wizards'.
So I did these two pieces below.
The first on isn't the finished piece,
(I think I forgot to save that one)
so that's why there is a song title in green on it.
We were discussing music and movies during the 'contest thing'.....
My Eastern European friend,
(who was schizophrenic)
often liked to do self portraits.
(that was usually how I could figure how he was feeling that day)
He asked me to do a pic of him looking crazy,
kinda like Brad Pitt in "12 Monkeys",
using similar colors.
(He LOVED that movie 😄)
So I made this one for him real quick, lol.
He liked it, and said it was HIM.  ...

I mainly wanted to go ahead and post it to see what SIZE it would turn out to be.
I like the colors in it
and I’m saving it to use as a background to print ‘announcements’ on.
I have found two other older works in my 1,000 plus pics , I’ll bring them sometime.
Plus, I have the last two I did for Halloween 2023.
I’ll bring those also.
…..I’m back to using my fingers to try and draw onscreen.
I can’t much hold a pen or a stylus anymore.
I’n doing good to manage a signature when I have to on paperwork.
My fine motor skills are kaput.
That can be frustrating and sad, BUT I won’t let it be that way.
And I won’t complain!
It’s not getting me down. 🙂
When I have an idea for artwork come to me,
and I can’t carry it out,
I put it aside and concentrate on what I CAN do.
So I turn my thinking back to writing and stories,
and find other things I CAN work on.
The Kingo bingo card work, is a good example.
And it’s fun! 🙂 |
