Not yet. I have never heard something good about this film.
I got about 30 minutes into it and changed the channel. If you're into serious sci fi you may like it, its a lot more serious than the original, I'm not the biggest fan of serious sci fi.
While it isn't a reboot, I got an hour into 3 From Hell today, I was really looking forward to finally watching, I was more curious to see how the hell they survived the shoot out at end of Devil's Rejects, well, they were all flesh wounds rather than fatal wounds. Rob rips off a lot of things in the film, I mean the way Otis escapes, total rip off of 48 Hours, and the fact he was outside working was absurd, the system saw him as being worse than Manson, and did they ever let Manson work outside the prison? I read the ending, so I was glad I stopped watching it when I did, it just gets worse.
Oh well...
Not a lot of new films impress me, which is why I watch so many 80's and 90's films... too many things are just repeated these days.

Saw Breakhart Pass with Charles Bronson. Supported by Richard Crenna, Ben Johnson, Jill Ireland and Charles Durning. An actionpacked western. I liked it. I do like these old Bronson and Eastwood movies. They knew what they were trying to do then and did it without trying to be smart or fancy or overstylish. Bronson is a limited actor but given the right kind of role, which he mostly stuck to in his career, he is good. Doubt he would have risen to stardom today, not because he is bad but because to get the hero part in these kind of movies you almost has to be a goodlooking dude nowadays. Bronsons face is distinct but it isn't hansom. Still i prefer Bronson over Tom Cruise any day.

We Watched This Movie Last Night Called "Run all Night" Starring Liam Neeson, Ed Harris, an Common.
It was A Wild Film Liam Neeson Plays a Hit Man Who Was Working for a Irish Mafia Boss (Ed Harris) an Well i Dont Wanna Give it Away but They End Turning on Eachother After a Bad Event Takes Place.
Liam Was Good in This again Playing The Tough Guy With His Back against The Wall again But Ed Harris Stole The Show imo. Common was Just in The Movie this Times but Didnt Have Very Many Speaking Parts though. Has You Guys Ever Seen This Movie? Have You Guys See this Movie? I J/W sorry to Quote My Self but You Might Like it.

I may watch it but probably won't until it pops up on HBO or something, I'm sort of bored with Liam, his last few films made me want the time I wasted watching them back, especially the Walk Among the Tombstone one or whatever it was called. My favorite role of Ed's was the one he played in the Rock, that was just a solid film. And State Of Grace with Sean Penn, that's another good one, and it has Gary Goldman, so you have Penn, Oldman, and Harris, that's just gold. Totally underrated film....

I haven't read anything of Kortya's, but have always heard good things about his work. What is it about? And what does he usually write about? 🙂

You didn't upset me Sis! 😊 Puzo's "The Godfather" was great" always love that and GD II. But after "Good Fellas", "Casino" I got burned out on the mafia stuff. "Donnie Brasco" was good. Never watched "The Sopranos"...didn't want to.
Got sick of Whitey Bolger stories. The two done about him with "Jack Nicholson" and the other with "Depp" ( who is great ) were good. But I'm jus done with it all. 😊
I really liked the "John Wick" flicks though.

Do You Think it Would Be Cool if They did a Spin off of those Movies Starring The Unholy 2...You Know Danny Trejo an That Other Tall guy Danny's cool but he and Diamond Dallas Page couldn't carry a film on their own, they were fine as secondary character but primary, it would be worse than Machete, which was a bad film. As for the mafia thing, they're over doing the Russian Mafia thing now in a big way. To be fair, there should be no Russian or Irish Mafia, its an italian word, and it wasn't a crime thing to begin with. The Mafia started because Sicily kept getting invaded, so Italian men got organized and created the mafia to protect not only their families bother sicilians from the invaders, and they got gives in exchange for helping people stop the invaders, but power corrupts and they went evil, not sure if it was when they started coming to the US or not. The italian mafia is why Vegas exists, a few of the familes saw its potential and sent a few people to start casinos which made a lot of money, and they were able to use them to launder money, and then you had prohibition which men like Capone saw as the person oppurtunity to bypass the law and make a profit. If it wasn't for prohibition, I think italian mafia would have died off fast but prohibition allowed to become powerful, and then when they lifted prohibition they turned to other types of schemes, they did kind of bypass drugs, thought it was too risky, which is touched upon in Goodfella's, which is based on a true story. The lead character just refused to listen and keeps selling drugs. Why did the italian mafia not want anything to do with drugs? The justice system came down much harder on drug pushers than those involved in illegal gambling or other things they relied on.

The justice system came down much harder on drug pushers than those involved in illegal gambling or other things they relied on. ------ Really?...hmmm... better go look up Puzo and tell him that he got it all wrong! 😄😉.....I'm KIDDING!...I think that back...way back then...that there were certain things that were off limits....that the 'old schoolers' would shun and not want to have a part of. But ....sh!t happens, times change, and even if they acted with some kind of honor, the rest of the world, and their competition were NOT. Sooo...it came time to "Move on"....and adapt. ....and "Live and let die". 😊😉 Dude 🙂...organized crime is organized crime. The Italians just got there first and gave them all a proper name for the general public's consumption. 😄 Italian, Mexican, Russian, Irish....etc....all are just crime families and organizations. The Italians seem to keep it more family orientated though, within reason and certain limits. 😊
Hey! All this reminds me off "The Pope of Greenwich village" and "A Bronx Tale"....both pretty okay flicks. I think. 🙂
...Mickey Roark....the very first time I saw him was in "Body Heat". Damn, he has changed so much, so quickly over the years.
(...honestly could not stand that thing "9 1/2 Weeks". But "Angel Heart" was pretty good. Loved DeNiro and Rampling in that one. Roark was good and Bonet was better than I expected her to be.)

And Koryta is a very reliable thrillerwriter. Good, tense stories that hold you til the end. He has written some with a supernatural element but most are about usual people in unusual situations. Jolie plays a traumatized firefighter that when she offers to help a lost kid have no idea in that by doing so she has put herself on two very ruthless hitmens hitlist. They have a truck full of weapons, she has just herself.
