......Somewhere a street over from us, across the alley way, there is a dog outside in this horrific weather, and it has been crying and whining. Can't figure out which house it is, to call the cops on the owners that have left the dog outside. It's been really....terribly distressing. A few prayers. A little help? Please. 🐺💔😰

Called animal control, they said they would have a truck patrol and try to find the house.
Haven't heard the dog crying anymore. Hopefully they were able to do something.
City pounds answering machine/voice mail....whatever is on now.
Yeah....I much prefer the company of animals a lot of the time.

....don't know which house it was that had the dog crying out.
We could only hear it, and knew it was a house on the street behind us.
I suspect they had it penned out of sight or something.
Best case scenario is that it MIGHT have been in a shed.
We're hoping animal control did something about it.
We haven't heard it crying anymore.
We've done what we could. Praying hard that, that worked.

We're doing good thank you!
My kid and his dad got back from the stores and doing the Pay Day banking routine earlier.
We're stocked up on everything we need, and have tons of blankets, quilts and comforters all out and on the beds and sofa, and all the water pipes that needed wrapped up are done.
My sun and neighbor Phil went over to my elderly next door neighbors house and made sure her pipes were all done and okay. We've been checking on her, but mostly my sun and his girl since I've been laid up some. She's okay and has everything she needs, we're going to send dinner over to her and be checking on her throughout this freaking out cold spell.
Her central gas heat (and ours) is in good working order thankfully.🙂
We've all got extra space heaters and propane burners at the ready in case they're needed.
There's a change we'll see rolling blackouts around Monday and Tuesday, but that might not happen. Even if it does, they probably won't be for too long. We've been through this before.It doesn't happen often, but we know what to do and all will be alright. Thank God. 🙂❤🤍🔥
From what I recall from the SKMB, Miss mary is in between us and Ft.Worth, a little SW from here. I'm hoping she gets to check in and let us know how they are doing.

Are you sure you and EJ are talking about the same way to measure temp? I mean 2 F is bitter cold, about - 17 C but 2 C is, what, 35 F and nothing to worry about. Hello everyone. Hope people are keeping warm. Sorry I have not been on lately but started my new job at a local clothing store in Canada called winners. It’s part of the whole Marshall’s home goods in the us and tj max in the u.k. Imam helping to set a up new store on whyte ave which is in the university district and has a lot of trendy and interesting things in the are. Kind of historical area. I am keeping warm; I have a lot of blankets. And it is going to get a bit warmer, soon. I also found this picture some place. Hi hilllover36 - good luck with the new job! It sounds pretty good

Hi Ka-Tet, We have been having rolling black-outs of power since about 9 pm last night. My PC is so confused. I should have moved to Brownsville, Texas instead of north central Texas. This area is similar to the arctic pole this week. lol
