Freezing drizzle is definitely a thing here.
We get substantial humidity here, coming up from the Gulf,
all year round. Makes for some miserable cold and hot days.
Some times.
You have a drier cold up there, from what I know.
Big difference from the wet cold.
One 10th of an inch of frozen drizzle/rain on highways
(especially bridges) can cause massive accidents like that 100+
car crash up the other day outside of Ft. Worth.
We will be getting snow too.
Looking forward to that.

lol, gotta work on a special project for awhile for this weekend.

We're doing good thank you!
My kid and his dad got back from the stores and doing the Pay Day banking routine earlier.
We're stocked up on everything we need, and have tons of blankets, quilts and comforters all out and on the beds and sofa, and all the water pipes that needed wrapped up are done.
My sun and neighbor Phil went over to my elderly next door neighbors house and made sure her pipes were all done and okay. We've been checking on her, but mostly my sun and his girl since I've been laid up some. She's okay and has everything she needs, we're going to send dinner over to her and be checking on her throughout this freaking out cold spell.
Her central gas heat (and ours) is in good working order thankfully.🙂
We've all got extra space heaters and propane burners at the ready in case they're needed.
There's a change we'll see rolling blackouts around Monday and Tuesday, but that might not happen. Even if it does, they probably won't be for too long. We've been through this before.It doesn't happen often, but we know what to do and all will be alright. Thank God. 🙂❤🤍🔥
From what I recall from the SKMB, Miss mary is in between us and Ft.Worth, a little SW from here. I'm hoping she gets to check in and let us know how they are doing. a054

Combine that kind of cold with the added wind chill factor and sleet that feels like daggers on the skin for 15 minutes and come back and say that. I'm used to bitter cold and I don't out in that with any skin exposed. |

That's called Summer over here. Scotland? Don't make me laugh. Are you sure you and EJ are talking about the same way to measure temp? I mean 2 F is bitter cold, about - 17 C but 2 C is, what, 35 F and nothing to worry about. |
