The Sims 4 world just got even more intense...
Now there's evil tentacles in the game that can kill the Sims thanks to some lovely mod I found today. The graphics on the tentacles aren't that great, they're neon colored and aren't that textured but I like how the modder hit them in certain rocks and plants that can be found in the game. IN the game by default one usually will find gems or other artifacts, but now they can be attacked by tentacles, kind of amusing.
One sim graduated college, I don't use any college mods for the game, but don't need to, they made the college system very realistic, the Sim can get a degree but the type of job they get after, if its a degree in liberal arts, there aren't that many job offers, if its a degree in engineering, there's tons of job offers. So tomorrow, I'm going to re-enroll that sim to have an engineering degree instead..
On the side I'm playing DMC: Devil May Cry, that game is just wild. There's one puzzle I hate in the game but most of it is just fast paced action with a very fun story and I love Kat, or Cat, I can't remember how they spell her name in the game, she's cool, but not playable. The latest DMC game has like 5 playable characters but they went back to the games eastern animation, not down with eastern animation.
But for each their own.

This thread kind of died.. I'm still playing the Sims 4, I created an insane city where the Sims are doing all sorts of crazy but realistic stuff. I found three mods that make the game totally realistic. Basemental Drugs - it adds an alcohol, drug, cigarette system to where the Sims can get drunk, high, etc, and they can pay for it by getting addicted or dying, and there's even a cancer option to where they can get cancer in their old age if become alcholics or smoke too much. It also has drug busts, and the list just goes on and on. Very realistic mod... One does need two sex related mods, Wicked Persions and Wicked Whims, for Basemental drugs to work, they just add sexual realism, and the option to have sex animations but the animations are an option, so one can stick to all the sex stuff happening under the covers or in closets like old school sims games. I made Hellboy but he loses his tail when he goes potty, still need to do a little work on him, right now he looks like the old school Hellboy, going to make him look more like the newer Hellboy. I do plan on making a few King characters like Rose, Jack, Danny, and Cujo, can't make Christine, not in Sims 4. They got rid of cars in Sims 4, there's bikes but unlike 2 and 3, no cars. Fan made mods are an awesome option with PC gaming. I like to game on both, but I will admit that FPS games are best on PC, and I think the PS controllers work best for me with MGS games.

Fan made mods are an awesome option with PC gaming. There are games I'd never play without the mods out there like Skyrim, Fallout, and the Sims, its the mods that make them really wicked. Anywho, after playing the westernized Devil May Cry reboot, I decided to try the Devil May Cry 4 Special Edition. Talk about a big difference. The original series really likes the Resident Evil style of going back and forth in the same places with the characters, the remake, there's no going back and forth, its just forward. So far I'm enjoying the special edition of four but because they added extra characters to play as, but damn they made it a hard game to exit. One has to go through like three screens just to exit to desktop. I tried alt F4, that usually closes many games, but not DMC 4. Capcom knows how to make fun games. I really want to try the remakes of Resident Evil 2 and 3 but they require an I7 processor, I'm still on an I5... that's just too expensive of an upgrade right now.

The last RE game I played was Zero. I never did finish it, I played the original GameCube version cause I bought one for MGS: The Twin Snakes. They rebooted Zero as well I found out. First they rebooted the first game for the Nintendo, then years later it finally was released for the PC, then they rebooted 2 and then 3 and then Zero, and they've been doing some episodic type RE games as well. If you go on Steam and type in Resident Evil, the list of newer games they've put out is quite excessive. I can play the reboot of the first one, which I plan to do so soon, but the rest of the reboots, they went overboard with the graphics. Going back to mods, damn, the drug mod for Sims 4 just has more to it. One of the drug lords in the game got raided by swat members, and the arrested the Sim and took all of his drugs, the sim spends two days in jail, but the swat team do an entire search of the house. You can have the drug lord stash the drugs in fountains and some other places before the raid, but the sim still gets arrested, just doesn't lose his or her drugs so they don't lose any money. There's a fame and infamous gauge in the game by default, not sure if its impacted by drug busts, not yet, and I'm not sure if the rival gangs do start killing one another, only been using it for a few days and there's only two active gangs in the game at the moment. Whats funny is EA added a Star Wars expansion which has Darth Maul and some others in the game, so I had my drug lord hire Darth Maul as an enforcer. Boba Fett is in the game as well but he doesn't show up often so I can't hire him as an enforce, not yet. I see why gamers range from 16-55 now, things have just changed so much. As a kid in the 80's I was into Pac-Man and Mario Bros, but if those were the only type of games still being made, I would be gaming anymore. But things more adult oriented, keeping adults hooked... Smart move... I guess I'd give credit to Rockstar due to GTA and probably Running With Scissors for Postal, and Bethesda for the Elder Scrolls series.

Yeah gaming has evolved quite alot since the 80s. My dad said that games will be bigger than a few megabytes, now they are in the gigabytes. The biggest thing I love is how they at least give you more helpful hints in the game. I don't care for playing the 8 bit Metal Gear games cause they super cryptic.

When Doom 2 first came out in the mid 90's, it was on five 3.5 discs, which held 1.5 megs of data I believe. It wasn't just the graphics though, the audio has also improved and characters talk, Pac-Man never said word. Thankfully, solid state drives are coming down in price, I really want to go that route but they're still 3x the price of a standard drive.

I tried it today, I was able to zip up Pac-Man, Q-Bert, and Donkey Kong, and fit them on one 3.5 disk.
Technology... gotta love it.
I need to get back to play Devil May Cry 4. The game is so much like a Resident Evil game, its a maze and there's so many doors to go through and lots back pedaling, but its still fun, and unlimited ammo. I'd still like to see a crossover one day, well there kind of is one. There's some Capcom fighting game that features the SF characters, Danta, Jill, and Mega Man, I just can't remember the name of it, or if it was made for the PC. I think it was one of the Marvel Vs. Capocom games from back in the day, we won't probably see another one of those now that Marvel is owned by Disney.

I found two Freddy Krueger mods for the Sims 4 today, one had a great facial texture and fedora and clawed glove, but the sweater showed the "soul chest", the other had better boots and the sweater without the souls, so I mixed the two up and made my own. He's pretty bad a*s and I set up his personality traits so that he goes around harassing other Sims. Spent way too much time playing today and still haven't had a chance to get past level seven on DMC 4, I want to get to the Dante half of the game but I need to get to level 11 or 12. Neo looks exactly like him for the most part, he's just more serious while Dante is the one who will play air guitar in between monster killing and spew funny one liners.
Games... games..
There's a lot of talk about the new trend being mainly remastered classics. Resident Evil got the ball rolling awhile ago but lately more and more games are being remastered. Its like movies, the writers are just running out of ideas, and a lot of consumers are very nostalgic, so that allows the writers running out of ideas to just go the remastered route and they have the built in nostalgic crowd. I'm sure that's why Saint Row 5 isn't out yet, I think they're just lost at what to do next. They destroyed earth in the 4th game, so the Saints really have no home a time travel device, so they could travel back in time and bring earth back. Then to make matters worse, in Gat Goes To Hell, the player has the choice of staying in Hell and ruling, or going back to the Saints, so in the 5th game, either their decision is irrelevant in Gat Goes To Hell, or he won't be in the 5th and they'll just leave it like he's busy doing something else.
Writers write themselves into walls all the time though.

Another quick game update...
Went back to Ultra Street Fighter IV and dang it, I like that game, it doesn't have the violence I prefer like MK but it faster paced and has a better combo system to learn, and the characters, far more variety. But while I was searching for a fighting game, Capcom did remaster Marvel Vs. Capcom it looks like, and for the PC, so I was almost tempted but I'd rather they just make a fighting game with every Capcom character against one another rather than a crossover with Marvel. Imagine Mega Man, Strider, Dante, Jill, Leon, Bionic Commando, all of Mega Man's enemies, Vergil, Neo, and so many others all being able to fight one another. They would have no access to their swords or guns, it would all be hand to hand fighting but it would be fun.
Never happen though... unless it already did and I missed it.

If you're going to download the demo for Resident Evil 8, don't play the "Village" part of the demo, it's almost entirely cutscenes. You only are given an hour to finish both demos, the "Castle" demo only has like 2 cutscenes that are both pretty short and has way more interaction in it. Plus the Castle demo has the unanimously desired vampire ladies as antagonists, if you don't mind the fact they are extremely hostile and want to sap your veins dry, of course.

Pretty sure I don't have the hardware to run the latest RE game. Gotta hand it to Capcom for still doing demo's. As for vampire ladies, are they the ones from the Veronica game that came out after 3? I only played that one briefly since it was never ported to the PC, don't know why. Every RE game has been done cross platform as far as I know, except for the Veronica game. I think there's some first person shooters that are console only but they tried to release them for the PC, the interest just wasn't there.

Oh no lol, they're honestly probably the most successful attempt at making a creature of the night sexually appealing that I've ever seen in the weird history of trying to make classic monsters be sexy, at least since that one vampire from From Dusk Till Dawn. To describe them as vaguely as possible as to not sound too lewd, they are very statuesque and very, very busty. Namely the head vampire who'm the internet has given the most lustful attention to, Lady Dimitrescu. You can't google her without finding at least some NSFW images, and honestly considering just how she looks in the game, I bet the sex appeal of Dimitrescu's design in general was the thing the marketing team was banking most off of selling the game. Though just like the vampires in Dusk Till Dawn, she looks the farthest from sexy in her true form in the actual boss fight against her

Play Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines, and play it as a female Malkavian, the female Malkavian is probably the most sexualized female vampire in a game, not only does she have a super tiny skirt and a super tight cleavage showing top, every vampire has idle poses if one just lets the character stand for a moment without walking, the female Malkavian's idle poses involve bending over and grabbing her knees and wiggling her butt. She makes Lady Dimitrescu look like a conservative prude, based on the screenshots i'm looking at right now. But when it vamp vixens, its pretty much a given that they'll go that route, and Capcom has no issue going that route.

Yeah but, are the Malkavians 7 feet tall? They're targeting the guys who are into that burlesque look but we'll see if it goes over big in the US, I don't hear many go on about the Resident Evil franchise anymore though. I think they're running out of ideas with the RE franchise, they need to just wrap the story up and move on to a new franchise, but they won't.

I honestly prefer that they rebooted the franchise to explore a new setting every game instead of just making every game another zombie oriented story. I've heard many good things about village, and Lady Dimitrescu, like I said, is uber popular with the internet right now.
