Someone else i should say. The goths founded two great kingdoms, the Ostrogothic in Italy and the Visigothic in France/Spain. At its biggest it was encompassed about half of todays france and all of Spain. But the Merovingic Frankish king Clovis I attacked and by 508 had wrestled almost all land north of the pyrenees from the Visigoths into frankish hands. Both gothic kingdoms were dead and buried by the time of charlemagne. I think that the king you have in mind might be Clovis. Or you might be thinking of his wars against the Lombards (langobards) (means long beards)that was the people that carved out a kingdom in italy after the ostrogoths had fallen during the 6,th century.

That's who I meant, the Visigoths!

It was in spring and it was very nice.
It isn`t a big forest but it`s very popular for hikers
and joggers.

I've heard that about the AP trail. Anyone who completes it is a madman.

Walks in the woods always relaxes me. So beautiful and majestic. Last time was this summer.

Hey lil Sis,
Last Sunday took the day off and went out all day.

Loaded up my pack with some fruit, bag of peanuts, can of tuna and some beef jerky.
Strapped a gallon of water to the handle bars of my Mountain bike.

Went down to a green belt, where there are bike paths and a lot more, by the big part of the creek that runs through here.

Hadn't taken time to do that in a very long time.
It was a very good day, the weather was really pretty too.
Cool, but not too cool.

Ended up peeling an extra shirt off, not too long after riding out.
Had a really good time. 🙂

Once, when I was a young teen. My next door neighbor and I were camping out at the end of his property next to the woods. We heard a sound and looked out of the tent to see an image of a woman shining bright, long white flowing gown and her long dark hair looked as if they were blowing in the wind and she was moving, almost floating, towards the woods. But it was night and no lights, yet she shown a bright brilliant white, and there was no breeze. She disappeared into the woods, and that was it.
