Yes, even it is a one way ticket to Mars. Frank!?.....damnit, you keep me busy. 🤨
sigh......Cantina to do list:
1. finish building the moon base. 2. find a Star Gate...SOMEWHERE. (any good Flea Markets on Tatooine?) 3. start building the Cantina Mars base.....so we can unexepctedly show up and visit Frank. 😊😉 Just don’t be messing with Frank’s time continuum. You know how he hates that sort of thing.

Hmmm... noon here and nobody has posed a question of the day. So here goes...
What is your favorite Olympic sport to watch on TV, winter or summer?
I have two favourite Olympic sports - gymnastics and ice skating
This is a new thread so since Dizzy tagged me I guess I will ask a question if it's okay:
What do you think of this weird pandemic? (and if I might add a comment - do you find it interesting that the last world wide flu pandemic was almost exactly 100 years ago?)

I Don't Think I Will Ever Get it Though because I Rarely Leave My House an Me an My Husband are Both Listening to all The Safety Rules About it too We Are Not Being Stupid. It Isa Very Sad Situation though.

This corona virus will probably be around for a hundred years also. Hopefully a vaccine will be out soon and help to cut down the effects of this one, and new and better treatments can be found to help the most vulnerable... the sick and elderly.

We've already got a Corona Virus thread or two, neesy ! Lol, no need to be coughing it out, and spreading it all over this one too! 🤣😝😉
And now the new Question of the Day! 😊
"Have you, or would you, ever find a living person from your past, just to speak with them one more time, to get some closure on unfinished business?"

I would, but won't. Been a number of years since I've spoken to my one uncles. His wife's funeral and my cousin's only daughter's wedding were on the same day. My sister was in no condition two attend either. My brother and I decided he should attend the funeral and I would attend the wedding, that way the family was represented at each. My uncle never forgave me for not being at the funeral.

.....I once had a history teacher in highschool, who I really thought the world of and who I actually learned a lot from and I made great grades in his class. In a subject I didn't particularly care for at the time. Years later, when I was in my late 20's, I saw him at the grocery store and got to tell him what a good teacher he was, and how he really made a difference. 😊
At the same school, there was a math teacher who was as good a teacher as he was. I would like to see her again and tell her the same things that I told him. 😊
Lol, then there are also the few people you'd like to see again just to knock their teeth out. But they're just not worth it. 😊😉

wolf It Would Definetly Be My Dad..I Dont Have Any UnFinished Business With Him But I Just Wanna See Him One More Times an Let Him Know How I Feel an Love Him always an Think about an Remember Him everyday all The Fun Times We Had When I was a Little Girl all The Way until 2017 When He Died. I Actually Think He Came Back To Visit Me Once to it Hard to Explain but Truely Believe it. I was Always The Closest to Him Of All his Kids.
Oh Sorry I Misundersttood the Question as For Living People it Would Be My Ex Friend...we Stopped Being Friends Because she was Saying Mean Stuff Behind My Back About Me an when I Told Her We Were Done She Said She Going to Beat Me up Next Times She Sees me. So I Would Just Like to Make Tings right With Her so She Don't Have a Grudge on me

If you could invite 3 persons from any time period over for lunch, who would they be ? I've always been fascinated with our Founding Fathers and their grand experiment of democracy for our newly formed country.
Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and George Washington

Random fact for you, George Washington was considered too incompetent by the British Empire to give a General's commission to. I wonder how that turned out for them.

Washington may not have been one of the great thinkers of the time but he established the American republic, he led the revolutionary army and defeated the British Empire, he served as our first president, and the most important and greatest thing he did was step down from power. All men who seize power by force (Caesar, Cromwell, Napoleon, Lenin) held onto it until their deaths or were overthrown. Washington, by voluntarily stepping away from the presidency made the American founding principles real.

I don't disagree with you, Washington was a great man who deserves to be memorialised and remembered. But the power that a US President has is very different from the power that a Roman Emperor had. Washington was never given absolute power, true, he probably wouldn't have lost another election, he could have won terms right up until his demise, but the office of the US Presidency is in no way absolute or comparable to being the Roman Emperor, the French Emperor or even Oliver Cromwell, Lenin etc. Democracy and elections were ingrained in the constitution, and the power of the President was checked so that it would in no way be similar to the power that King George II had.
