Ok so i have seen this movie, and it was good, but i do not know how close it relates to the book. I am only half done the book and have not fully seen the first movie. But from what i can see in youtube the original is better. Imdid not loke how they glosed over the lot 6 trials when andy and vicky? Were in college. but it had some cool parts

George C. Scott is a superb Oscar Winner,
(though he stubbornly refused to appear at any of the Oscars.)
but it was very disappointing to see Rainbird
not portrayed by a Native American Indian.
(Trying to think back to that time,
when the original was made,
and WHO would have been great in that role.)
Michael Greyeyes is a FINE actor in all ways,
I have really enjoyed all of the performances I have seen him in!
...but I still gotta say,
after seeing Zahn McClarnon in FX's 'Fargo',
he would have made an even better Rainbird than Greyeyes. 🙂

I saw it last night and did not like it as much as the 84 movie. The cast seemed kind of dull. There were some changes made to the story which were ok but when Charlie was on the run, the tension just wasn't there. The ending is sequel ready.

I Mean...Everytimes They Make A Stephen King Movie Based On 1 Of His Books There Always Changes Made To It For Some Reason. That Normally Annoys Me. How Ever In This Case Bein That Fire Starter My All Time Favorite SK Story I'm Over Lookin That. As Long As Charlie Has Pyrokinesis In The Movie An Use It Alot I'm Going To Enjoy The Film.

I Mean...Everytimes They Make A Stephen King Movie Based On 1 Of His Books There Always Changes Made To It For Some Reason. That Normally Annoys Me. How Ever In This Case Bein That Fire Starter My All Time Favorite SK Story I'm Over Lookin That. As Long As Charlie Has Pyrokinesis In The Movie An Use It Alot I'm Going To Enjoy The Film.

I really don't know why people get so damn bent out of shape about it.🙄
Often there is only so much you can put into a movie,
then take into consideration the way they make NEW/NEWER movies
from older works
(books and flicks both)
to appeal to the current generation/demographic that will be viewing.
AND the movie business is into MAKING MONEY.
....so whatever they can do to adjust the 'Story' to continue it,
and possibly produce a sequel (or sequelS)
to make more money AND entertain us,
then they're going to do that.🙂

I think sometimes we just get really lucky,
and there is gem of a flick produced
that is as (or very close to being)

Hmmm...if they are...it would be cool to see good King Stephen involved in the writing.
He's not adverse to making money.

I get frustrated with a lot of movie adaptions too.🙂
...and I NEVER pay attention to what the 'movie critics' say.
I always make up my own mind mind about a movie myself.😊
But I am very interested in what all my friends here
have to say about 'Firestarter 2022'.
I'm going to look forward to seeing it no matter what. 🙂
Everyone picks on Zac Effron,
because he's such a 'popular' pretty boy
(in many people's minds)
and not that great of an actor.
But I have seen him do A LITTLE bit of good acting
in a flick or two....sporadic scenes...might have been flukes.🙄
I'll give him a chance. 🙂
(Probably only ONE chance though.😄😉)

BC They Shouldnt Be Allowed To Change His Stories To Whatever They Feel Like. I Thought There Was Copy Right Laws About That. I Not Sayin It Will Be A Bad Movie But That One Of My Pet Peeves Sis It Just Like Nails Ona Chalk Board To Me. Anyways Though I Really Looking Forward To Fire Starter We Goin To See It On Saturday.
