Wanted to take a minute to thank all of you for the kindness you showed me on Monday when I had such a crappola of a day.
On Oct. 5, 2005 my husband died. I tend to get sad around this date. R.I.P. Richard - wish things could've turned out differently. You had a kind heart.

Mostly we get sparrows and chickadees at our bird feeder
- I've seen the odd blue jay and sometimes a woodpecker (usually on the older trees down the laneway) - and of course we get the noisy crows, but I like crows.
Okay, I have to ask..... How do you identify an "odd" blue jay as opposed to a "normal one? 
Like this - they dive bomb you and make a terrible screeching sound while doing it

Today I had an urge to make some cookies so I ended up making the recipe on the side of the sugar bag (Classic Sugar Cookies) but of course they sound so much better in French - "Biscuits Classique au Sucre" (say that with an accent) d025 One cookie is 3 points on WW, which isn't bad.

Yesterday I was all energetic and went to the gym - did 30 minutes on the elliptical trainer and 20 minutes on a new machine I had never tried before (Assault Air Runner) - I just walked on that
It looked like this:
Today I am feeling a little bit lazy but I still think I will go out anyway and buy some stuff we need.
It's below zero out there today

Thank you for your confidence in me, it would be improbable to say I aced it however considering each section was timed and the time always cut out on when I was on the last two to one questions of a segment. |

It was sunny but cold out today so I had to get out of the house; spent a bit of money on some nifty cast iron things (a bread pan plus a trivet) - both in black cast iron.
I'm wondering how my bread will turn out if baked in cast iron - think I will make up a batch and experiment with it.
