Just got back from watching my son bowl plus also did some grocery shopping for food for supper.
My cat is sitting on my Lexmark printer/scanner purring - he looks so cute!
p.s. I also stopped for a fish taco - it was delicious c043

Last night, I took the Munchkin to Acapellageddon at Appalachian State. It's their annual acapella group competition. Each group performs three songs, and at the end of the evening, a winner is chosen for categories of best female group, best male group, and best mixed group, and best overall group. This year, they added a beatbox competition. The girl who won that was absolutely amazing. I can't think if a better way to spend 12 bucks.
Today, we will have lunch with my Mom and then do some grocery shopping. Afterward, I'll spend the afternoon with my feet propped up watching American Horror Story on Netflix.

We had potatoes for supper last night and I saved some of the cooking water in the fridge so I will probably make a loaf of bread with it. Just feeling a bit lazy at the moment so will procrastinate for a little while.
I'm reading a book recommended by Stephen King called "We Are Not Ourselves" which isn't too bad. I put it down for a while then just recently started reading it again - it's getting more interesting now.

We went out black Friday shopping at Walmart. It was like any other day, not a lot of people at all. We went to do the weekly shopping.

So far today all I've managed to do is get up, get washed and dressed and make a loaf of bread.
Starting to feel trapped inside this house so I think I will get outside and see what it's like out there.
My cat needs kitty litter and canned cat food so maybe I'll go to Shoppers Drug Mart and buy some, using my points.

Did the grocery shopping, and then a feed run for the critters. Prices are increasing each week!

Watching it snow......we have almost 14 inches on the ground, and it's still falling. I had to shovel a path so the dog could go out to do her business and not get lost. Jim Cantore showed up in town yesterday.......You know it's gonna get bad when Cantore shows up in your town...... How Y'all doing, thekidd12?

We have around 4 inches here, 8 in northern part of county. Freezing rain/sleet started about 10AM. Supposed to stop by in the morning. Woohoo.
Power still on for now. I cleaned generator carb and put in new spark plug and it was humming good a while ago. Hope I don't need it.
Stay warm and dry girl...

Stay warm and dry girl...Hope y'all don't get much of that frozen stuff.......it really wreaks havoc on a road, and power lines, and trees. We're supposed to have constant snowfall until around 11 tomorrow morning. I'm worrying about how I'm gonna get the Munchkin to her orthodontist appointment in North Wilkesboro tomorrow afternoon. They've called off school for tomorrow. I honestly don't expect them to go at all this week. Too many rural dirt roads that don't get plowed in the county. Are you making anything good for supper? Last night, I made chili and buttermilk cornbread. I'll make vegetable beef soup and grilled cheese sandwiches tonight. Snowstorms make me hungry.......and fat!

Ice all in trees. Winds around 25 MPH. No school manana. Supposed to be ice until 11 tomorrow.

Yikes! - Isn't that unusual weather for your neck of the woods? (Or are you used to this type of thing?) Up here in Winnipeg, we expect lots of snow and cold temperatures so we're not gobsmacked when something like that happens.
I do see you have a generator back-up - wow - good for you! (We don't even have one of those things.) The best we could do if the power was out for a long time is use our wood burning fireplace.
Sending you a quick prayer that no one is injured or suffers from this big storm - take care of yourselves! winter-smileys-021

Most of our snow comes in February or March. As I said snow is not the problem. We can handle that and usually does not cause outages. Ice is heavy, resulting in lots of power outages and those videos networks show of cars sliding off roadways.
Got my Honda generator in 2000 after power was off for 11 days and youngest was a month old. Said I was not having my children go through that again.
Now I have to worry about my momma. Her power has been out since 12:30 but says she is fine.

Today all I have done is get up, eat something and play around on my computer - it's nice and sunny and not too windy so I should get out there soon.
I just don't like to go to stores on Saturday or Sunday as they're usually crowded.
