Whatcha got? Beatles? Solo stuff? Wilburys? Collaborations? Cover versions and tributes are good, too. I don't care...put 'em here.

The graphics that were edited into this are killing me, but it's all I could find when I looked for Wah Wah from Bengladesh.

Harrison was always my favorite member as a kid. he was the "Ace Frehley" of the Beatles. I even dug his Ravi Shankar inspired "Sitar" phase.

After the concert I saw him at in Philly our car had broken down in the parking lot. It was about 3 hours after the concert ended and I went back to the arena to make a phone call and see if I could find a mechanic at 4am. George was standing outside the stage door chatting up some fine young things and I snapped a picture of him on my instamatic. George responded by giving me the middle finger. Hey, how many people can make the claim they were flipped off by George Harrison?

CRAP!!! I tried inserting the "Something" Beatles song (written) by Harrison but it duplicated the post instead. Why is this place messin' with me today?

This isn't "Something" but it's a good song:

Thanks Neesy. Yeah, that was a good song and it was done quite well when I saw him in concert. Harrison had Billy Preston on Keyboards as part of his band and Ravi Shankar and his band played on an long elevated semi circular platform behind Harrison and his band. Every song had Shankar's group playing which made for a unique concert. Neesy, can you get rid of that double post of mine? Thanks.

I remember when I was a kid, watching the Beatles movies on tv with my Dad. It dawned on me that George was the funniest one and in the most subtle way. And that was it. Love at first laugh. Speaking of funny people,Weird Al does an awesome rendition of What Is Life... (Not funny at all--just really damn good!)

Wow - Weird Al is 60 now - still looks pretty good
Sorry for thread hijack
- I wonder what George would look like if he was still alive?

Wicked Esther love this thread!
I really liked all Harrison's work with the Traveling Wilburys, and especially liked this solo endeavor of his from around that time too 😊......
I was also ecstatic that Roy Orbison had such a great comeback while working in that band too. It was made up of some of my all time favorite artists. 😊

What a great story & memory! What year was that, when you saw George in concert? (Sorry if you mentioned that somewhere--I might have missed it) I was 17 and it was December, 1974 at the Spectrum in Philadelphia. We spent all night with the broken down car in the parking lot. We were raided by police two or three times that night, and we had things in the car we shouldn’t. Luckily the police were kinda corrupt back then and they wanted bribes to leave us alone. Also my one friend called his father in the middle of the night to ask him if he could call the other parents and let them know what was going on. Unfortunately he just went back to sleep. A girl was also with us. She had told here parents she was going with me to the concert... why she did that I’ll never know. Her father shows up at my parents house in the middle of the night demanding to know where his daughter was. My parents new nothing about what was going on. When we finally got home in the afternoon the next day (after one of the cops came back and fixed our car problem), I had to explain to my parents what had happened. My dad made me go with the girl to her home and make up some story to get her out of trouble for lying. We actually ‘had’ to pretend to be dating for about a week after that. facepalm

WUITIIQGUyMrvFxIgkNw Awesome--I love hearing stories like this. Broken down cars are never fun in the moment, but who doesn't have a good story involving a flat tire or breakdown of some sort, right?! I was 7 in 1974. Never got to see George in concert, but the songs you heard in concert that night were most likely spinning on my Dad's turntable. That's the stuff I grew up on.

She usually came to the beer parties me and my friends threw so it wasn't too hard, but I thought she was going to kill me the way she drove when we 'went out' and she drove.

Fun Fact:
I used to sing "I'll have my mom sit on you, I'll have my mom sit on you." whenever Harrison's song Mind Set On You came on. Irritated plenty of people, I'm sure. Ironically, my mom had a slim build.

They did Handle With Care and Dhani looks exactly like George. ( diobolic , didn't you post a pic of Dhani?? I can't see it now ) Anyway...so sad to think we only have two living Beatles and now only two Wilbury's.

Prince's guitar work still gives me goosebumps, even after countless viewings.
