At the end of January, a dummy in a big pickup pulling a loaded trailer ran a red light and hit my husband in my Jetta that I hadnt even had a year yet. He was fine, than goodness. All the safety features did their jobs and he got out with nothing more than a scratch on his ear from his glasses flying off at impact. My car was a total loss. Given the way inflation is right now, we got enough from insurance to pay off my car and had a healthy down payment on a new one. And also because of how inflation is, it was cheaper to get a brand new one rather than another used one. The used ones we looked at were 1000-2000 more than new, at least the ones with comparable mileage as the one we had. We went and picked it up on Tuesday. I love it. My new Jetta... View AttachmentView Attachment Thankful he wasn´t hurt cat.
The Jetta is a nice car, and looks great in red.

I'm happy you got another one to your liking. That IS a really nice red 'little go-devil' . 😄
(... wow, this reminds me of Anni M. and her 'go-devil' she had, and loved to drive. Need to make a post in her and or/John's threads sometime soon. Have good memories of both of them.)
You take care, Cat. And please come back and see us soon, ma'am. 🙂

I came in here to post a few of the great cars I've had over the years but saw osnafranks post. I hope he doesn't have any lingering back pain over it. When I got rear ended years back it took a while to get back to near where I started and some pain will always be crouching like a monster in a dark corner waiting. Anyway, since I'm here, this is the first car I owned back in high school, or at least the same make, model, and color. I loved that car. The back seat was kind of small though.

May as well post my second since I do have a picture of that one with my second bike. It was a 1976 Trans Am with a race cam, the one I first dated my wife in. Had to sell it because it was hard to start on cold mornings and I had to get my butt to work and support my family. The bike was the first year the Honda Shadow came out. Sold that when I found out I had a daughter on the way. One of my better trades. LOL, looks like I should have cut the grass.

Weird. I can no longer post pics. Hi scratch.
Seems that you forgot to insert the image url. Posting pics is still possible.

I did. I just could not get it to show up. Maybe the glitch is on my end. Here is a 66 lemans like the one in Night of the Living Dead that I bought for $200 bucks. I didn't really believe the lady when she said it was running when she set it on blocks but once I replaced the gas tank it fired right up. God that was a hard hot job cutting through the straps on that other tank. I could spot cars like this when I was out driving every day. I remember Richard helped me put tires on it and pull it home. A good memory with a good friend. I always look a quarter moon from turning into a werewolf. I sold it one year to give my kids a big Christmas. Great car but look at those kids. Greater kids. (could be a problem with the image itself...I've run into that kind of thing a few times.)
Nice story there scratch. 😊 Love Pontiac Lemans. Here's one...

I say that because I am in habit of going the 'trial and error' way, Commander osnafrank . Thankee. 😊
