Olds Cutlass from the 70's...we had a 72 (not a convertible) when I was a kid, but Gran traded it in one year. 💔....

I loved the interiors of the Monte Carlo's....see the gear shift between the bucket seats osnafrank ? It's an automatic transmission....some models had a "T" bar shaped gear shift. Sorry, I couldn't find a pic of one of those, I think they looked a little better myself. Those are nice cars, always wanted one of them....

Looks great. I've never seen a gear shift like this. They were way cool. I had a friend in High School who had one.
Here's another nice Cutlass Convertible....

A 1970 Impala....
And this just like (same color and all) a 1973 Chevy Impala that my Gran bought brand new (it's what she traded the Cutlass in for. DON'T ASK ME WHY, I HAVE NO IDEA...probably just got the itch to spend money again, and decided on a new car, she was like that. 🤨🙄) Not very attractive, but it was one the best cars I have EVER driven. Had a really good 350 engine......

Okay last post here. Promise.
Here is a 73 Caprice Classic, my Aunt had one of these, and a Chevelle....
And this one below is very similar to the last Caprice Classic I owned...Mine was an 84. Another one of the best damn good running cars I have ever owned and driven...

$11.900 ? It's a steal. Yap! 🙂
Last car....this is a 1977 Monte Carlo, they were MUCH longer and a bit heavier than the earlier 70's models. They were beautiful land yachts, became more luxury type cars than sport. This one is a lot like the one I got when I got out of High School, but mine was a deep midnight blue with a very light silvery blue vinyl top, that just covered the back part of the roof.....
A better look at one of these....

This was my first car - a 1977 Plymouth Volare four door - my Dad bought it for me but I paid him back in monthly installments (plus interest)
That thing had a slant six engine which is the same one they used on the Air Force base (where I worked) for the 'mules' that towed the aircraft
I got mine in 1984

Back in '97 I had a 1986 Dodge Ram with a slant 6, another great reliable ride.
The guy I bought it from used it for work, and hauled a goose neck trailer with it. Everything was fine with it, but the rear end finally went out. I miss that truck. Mine was all white......

I love Dodge Ram trucks!
I had an '89 that I bought in 1994 - it was a six cylinder (D100) - never knew how cool pickup trucks were until I got one
It's funny how much I develop an attachment to any vehicle I own e.g. I miss my old 1997 Jeep Cherokee too.
As far as my current vehicle - meh - it's reliable but not as good as previous vehicles I owned - it has four wheel drive, at least

That's a NICE one! Yeah, they are good trucks, and pick ups are fun and so useful. I've got a short bed crew cab now. I love that thing! I know what you mean about getting attached to them all. 🙂

Lambos are fascinating Cars. They're brutal, edgy, wild, sometimes bit uncontrollable, and sooo beautiful.

At the end of January, a dummy in a big pickup pulling a loaded trailer ran a red light and hit my husband in my Jetta that I hadnt even had a year yet. He was fine, than goodness. All the safety features did their jobs and he got out with nothing more than a scratch on his ear from his glasses flying off at impact. My car was a total loss. Given the way inflation is right now, we got enough from insurance to pay off my car and had a healthy down payment on a new one. And also because of how inflation is, it was cheaper to get a brand new one rather than another used one. The used ones we looked at were 1000-2000 more than new, at least the ones with comparable mileage as the one we had. We went and picked it up on Tuesday. I love it. My new Jetta...
