Mr. Blue bought a new old Jeep Wrangler this weekend. He has plans to turn it into a Jurassic Park Jeep and join the Jurassic Park Motor Pool (such a nerd). Here he is with his new toy: Attachment Deleted

I have a 2000 Jeep Wrangler Sahara that I'm going to sell. Wish I had an extra few thousand dollars to fix it up, because then I could practically quadruple the asking price.
Hope he has fun with his new toy!

Nice jeep ♥♥♥

Hope he has fun with his new toy! It's true but they hold their value pretty well even when they need work. We got a bargain on this one and will probably have to dump $3k into it before we start the fun work.

Mr. Blue got some estimates on the paint job yesterday and it is going to cost around $3,500. OUCH! He's leaning toward renting a shop and doing the paint himself now (we don't have a garage).

No, it is going to be painted up like the jeeps from Jurassic Park. Oh - ooops - that's right - I recall you mentioning that in the first post (nerd or geek reference). Well - that will be cool! Must be why it would cost extra.

Yeah, it's a custom paint job with lots of extra labor required. Still, it would be much cheaper on the other side of the country. Too bad we don't have time to drive it to Florida.

Classic cars of all kinds plus souped up ones will drive down Main Street and along Portage Avenue, and some go through Kildonan Park near where I live. It's nice to see some of the older ones that have been well preserved or restored.
They've even used some vintage cars for movies that have been filmed here (like A Dog's Purpose).

They do a similar thing around here on Thursday nights. No cars that were in movies though.
There's a whole weekend dedicated to it every year (in June I think) called Buggies 'n' Blues.

That looks like it might go fast a020
Around here in the winter though you would probably get stuck in our deep snow, so I'd have to come by with my Jeep Liberty to rescue you haha! d025

I have one of those Veteran's license plates so most people pass me anyway (I don't go very fast). I think they must think of me as one of those "old guys with a hat" - do you have any of those in your city?
