Favorite guitarists Buck Dharma Alex Lifeson Allen Lanier David Gilmour Walter Becker KK Downing Glenn Tipton Robert Fripp Al Di Meola Billy Gibbons Jimi Hendrix I like your list, but, ahem, Ritchie Blackmore? good choice, but I don't know if I'd say he's one of my favorites. Early Deep Purple and Rainbow stuff is good though, aye

vote.rockhall.com/Everyone vote for Kate Bush as she's lagging behind the other inductees in the fan vote Todd Rundgren should be in. The RRHOF should change its name to the Popular Music Hall of Fame because nearly all of the artists nominated certainly are not rock, I'm no fan of Iron Maiden but they should have been in decades ago. Ted Nugent as well, If we're talking influence on the US rock music scene, then he should have been one of the first in

The main thing I don’t get is why can’t they just make a seperate awards show for Hip Hop artists, it’d just make sense.

Yep, the problem is the name, call it the "Music" Hall of Fame and problem solved.

But he was influential and his first album is pretty good. And I mean, for some reason Phil Spector is still has a spot in the HoF. Still, another year without BÖC or Alan Parsons (A miles better producer than Mr. I Shot a Woman Dead ever was, by the way) in the HOF, very very sad.

Phil Spector was a great producer, his production sounds amazing. But you're right, it speaks volumes when Rolling Stone would rather put a convicted felon in the hall than someone who has different views from the magazine. If you look at the criteria for getting in, its influence and impact on the US rock music scene. If you ask Ted Nugent who his influences are, he won't say Jimmy Page or Jimmy Hendrix or any of those guys, that's because he's a peer of them, The Amboy Dukes predate The Jimmy Hendrix Experience! I guarantee every US Band after Ted in some way was influenced by him. I mean, you can't tell me that Tina Turner had more of an impact of American guitarists than Ted Nugent?

Limiting the list to one per guitar player to prevent obvious bloating and bias, here are what I consider some of the best guitar solos of all time-
