Good list. I still can't believe you have the Klaatu album.

Good list. I still can't believe you have the Klaatu album. Indeed, it was only $3 for such an obscure album that's highly sought after by collectors, and in such good condition too. The needle gets stuck on the last track, but only as the music is fading out so it's not a big deal. other that that it's super high quality.

My favorite song from each Rush album as of now (probably the most concrete as of my past Rush rankings as I have now finished my binge and spent a lot of time thinking about each album)
Debut- Working Man FBN- Anthem/Making Memories COS- Fountain of Lamneth 2112- (Really hard to choose but it's a tie between) 2112/A Passage to Bangkok/Lessons FTK- Xanadu Hemispheres- La Villa Strangiato PW- Freewill/Natural Science MP- Limelight Sig- The Analog Kid GUP- Distant Early Warning/Red Sector A PW- The Big Money HYF- Force Ten/Mission Presto- Show Don't Tell RTB- Title Track/Where's my Thing Counterparts- Stick it Out T4E- Driven (frankly the only good song on the album, and a great song it is. Has one of the best bass lines ever written imo) VT- Ghost Rider S&A- Far Cry/Malignant Narcissism CA- The Anarchist

Picked up both Blues for Allah and Terrapin Station by Grateful Dead on vinyl at a garage sale yesterday for only $10. Sadly, the covers are water damaged and have this weird moist feeling on them (ew), but the actual vinyls themselves have been preserved nicely and sound great and scratchless. I'm especially grateful (heh) to finally have Blues for Allah on vinyl, perhaps in my top 20, if not top 10, albums of all time. Help on the Way and Franklin's Tower are two of the most beautiful songs ever composed.

Top 5 most overrated vocalists in my opinion, not dissing them or their fans, I'm just not much a fan: Phil Collins Bruce Dickinson Robert Plant Freddie Mercury Ozzy Osbourne Add Lady Gaga, Adele and I agree. Adele is fine, I don't really know much about her or her discography but the few songs I've heard from her on the radio are fine and I won't complain. Lady Gaga's music on the other hand I have 0 care for and I do find her music quite annoying. But then again, neither are artists that are that prevalently praised in actual genres I listen to, so I really feel no need to vocalize dislike, compared to artists I do frequently see praised in groups and genres that I do actively participate in or read discussion on. One thing about bands with one lead singer is that they tend to involuntarily get almost all the spotlight from fans, at least more casual ones, and not as much recognition goes to the instrument players. Queen, for example, is treated like "Freddie Mercury, the band" by everyone who ever mentions them. Freddie seems like he was a cool guy and I get why people like him, I also understand that a lot of people respect that he was an openly gay celebrity in the middle of the AIDs scare, but I don't get why he's held on such a pedestal. No love goes to Brian May or Jon Deacon or Roger Taylor, I don't even care for Queen as a band that much, but out of all iconic bands no other has such an imbalance of spotlight from fans as Queen does. This is why I always like seeing bands where there isn't one reserved singer, an instead different members singing different songs.

I find it hard to judge singers or instrumentation in genres I don't like, because it would mostly be me being biased against the genre. I really like Rob Halford's voice, not just on the Judas Priest albums I like, but I still think he's a great singer even after they changed their musical style so much they lost me. He has great range.

"Taking the operatic vocal stylings of Judas Priest's Rob Halford and Iron Maiden's Bruce Dickinson to whole new levels, Geoff Tate was the founding vocalist and lyricist for Queensrÿche and its chief conceptualist. Geoff Tate | Biography & History | AllMusicwww.allmusic.com › artist › geoff-tate-mn0000165512 ".....
There's my Queensryche list.

A lot of stereotypical picks, but bah I guess they're common picks for a reason
