Not really an Aerosmith or Run DMC fan. Hip Hop with Jazz instrumentals fits way better than Hip Hop with rock instrumentals, imo. I had no idea that Hip-Hop and Jazz was even a thing. Well, a large amount of classic vanilla hip hop albums either sample jazz and soul songs or have original jazz and soul instrumentals. Hip Hop kinda evolved from both jazz and swing until it became its own thing. Not to mention a lot of 20th century rap groups/rappers would have probably grown up listening to jazz in the 70s and 80s, and so would be very familiar with the genre. The lyrics to the first song on The Low End Theory quite literally explain Q-Tip (the lead rapper's stage name) growing up with his father's music and how his interest in rapping evolved from that. Another connection between jazz and hip hop, both originated from black musicians in largely black areas of the United States, and then spread in popularity from there. Some rappers see jazz as their ancestor's music, and therefore want to pay tribute to famous Jazz legends like Miles Davis and John Coltrane.

I think I told you this, but there's actually a Jazz song on Never Say Die, their final album with Ozzy before the reunion.

Both me and one of my friends were never interested in hip hop before one of our mutual friends told us to listen to it, and it blew both of us away by how good it was and opened our eyes up to a genre we never liked that much before.

Herbie Hancock, Al Di Meola, Miles Davis, Chic Corea, all geniuses at their craft.

If you're into Jazz Fusion then you should check out the debut album by Todd Rundgren's Utopia, that's considered a Jazz Fusion classic.

After listening to every studio Judas Priest album Rob Halford sang on and reflecting and relistening to albums, here is my tier list as of now.

I always liked the basic small one and two color posters you would see plastered on buildings and telephones all over the place back in the 70's ahead of concerts. Had to get the word out cheaply before the age of the internet and ticketmaster.

The first Iron Maiden song I heard was Hallowed Be Thy Name, which was amazing, so I was hoping the rest of their work would be equally as good... nope. Asides from some songs having cool lyrics I have to say they have been one of the most boring rock bands I have ever listened to asides from Hallowed Be Thy Name, some other songs were fine I guess. Not dissing anyone here who's a Maiden fan. I just have happened to find almost every album I've heard from them except Seventh Son of a Seventh Son boring.

Judas Priest > Iron Maiden100%, besides, robot monsters are way cooler than whatever Iron Maiden's Eddie is supposed to be.

Judas Priest > Iron Maiden 100%, besides, robot monsters are way cooler than whatever Iron Maiden's Eddie is supposed to be. I also hate the production on Iron Maiden albums, it's not always terrible but a lot of songs just make the instruments sound so weird. I also think Bruce Dickinson is one of the most boring singers I've ever heard. I'm sure he's a cool guy, but I just can't appreciate any of his vocal work. I will say, Iron Maiden is great at writing good lyrics (most of the time), but good lyrics require approrpriate music to fit them. They also have some good cover art, not all of it is great, but some of it is. But, pales in comparison to cover art on other popular metal bands' albums though, I love most of Judas Priest and DIO's artwork, even if DIO isn't a band I'm a big fan of. Dio's Murray is a cool mascot.

I don't know what it is, but the girl on the cover of The Cars' self titled album has always kinda unnerved me. The exaggerated smile on her face, the makeup, the lighting, she just doesn't look right. Like she's enjoying driving that car a tad too much.

The album cover was painted by artist Alberto Vargas, who was known for his paintings of pin-up girls that appeared in Esquire and Playboy magazines in the 1940s through the 1960s.

My very rough top 100 albums of all time, the higher ranked albums are in a pretty solid order but the lower down the list order starts to become very inconsequential.
