Hi everyone - I've really missed you guys. The past 2+ weeks have been horrific. I fell while shoveling snow and fractured my ribs. The pain is unbearable, but I am very fortunate that I didn't rupture my spleen or have any internal bleeding. Can't take anything for the pain (not even Tylenol) because of stomach issues. Some days are worse than others.
But the reason I'm posting is for my mom. She's been going through some bad health stuff. Last Thursday she had to put her precious dog, Aleu, to sleep. My mom is completely wrecked. There are no words. I feel so helpless and just beg for any prayers and positive thoughts you could send her way. Thank you, my friends.

morganMorgan, my heart goes out to you, especially since you said you can't take any pain meds for your injury. That's awful. They can't prescribe anything at all? Is it the Tylenol or aspirin that you are allergic to? I'm sorry to hear about your fall and hope you heal quickly. Prayers for you and your mother.

Hey morgan - is there some sort of enteric coated pill you could take? I take 81 mg enteric coated ASA - this will pass through your stomach without causing grief. Maybe if you took four of those that would work i.e. 81 x 4 = 324 so it would be the same as taking one 325 mg Aspirin - it's worth a shot!

I had the blood transfusion this past Wednesday. I am not in any pain. It has helped with my breathing a lot! I can stand to have my oxygen off for a little bit now. (It makes my nose itch)

Oh my gawd! Just went and looked through the SKMB posts. Many, many prayers and so much love being sent to ghost19 (and Tamara, his family and loved ones). May the Lord guide every medical professional who is assisting in his recovery. We love you, Ghost - you are truly a wonderful father, husband, friend and human being. Sending you so many prayers for a miraculously speedy recovery. I am grateful that you are surrounded by so many people who love you. You are such a blessing to our SKMB family as well!
