So we went into lockdown from midnight last night, it's in place for the next two weeks, not too sure where that leaves me in relation to my job as of yet. Guess I'll find out soon enough.

Do any of you know anyone who had the virus yet? A friend's friend's sister died from it Friday morning - she lived in Atlanta - I don't know her age or what her general health was. And our very good friend's son in law has it currently - he's a fireman and he just got sick last week. Hoping and praying he beats it!
Our town is on orders to stay home unless you are an essential worker, you are going out for food or medication, or to get some fresh air and sunshine - but you should adhere to the 6' distance recommendation. So far, so good for us. We can handle that. Our utility company has said they will not cut anyone's power/water/gas supply during the pandemic. The town has also ordered no evictions for the duration of the pandemic. I think that's all very good.
I had to take one of our dogs to the vet yesterday. When I got there, I had to call from the car and tell them who I was bringing in and why - and then remain in my car. They called me when the vet was ready to see her and the vet met me at the door wearing a haz-mat suit, goggles, gloves, the works - took my dog and I had to go back to my car until she was ready - she called me on the phone for consultation, then I paid with my card over the phone to the receptionist. It was all very bizarre. But I understand. And I'm grateful they found a way to stay open during this.

I would like to think that the UK government will get scrutinised for their shambling handling of this situation, but they probably wont, that's not how things work in this country. Joke of a government. Now they are introducing policy to tackle it, but they're far too late, all of this should have been done weeks ago.

I think all states should not cut utilities, or allow evictions during this time. And when normalcy resumes they utility companies and landlords should allow customers and tenants to resume payments, and set up payment plans for back rent and unpaid bills.

Joke of a government. Now they are introducing policy to tackle it, but they're far too late, all of this should have been done weeks ago. I cant even remember if it's been 6 days or 7. My sense of time is slipping. They said they would reevaluate at 3 weeks, I'm not holding out much hope of us being allowed back to work or anywhere if I'm being honest.
The whole thing is making me lethargic. The less I do, the less I want to do. I havent plugged a guitar in for 2 or 3 days. If I pick up an acoustic or a hollow body it's back down a few minutes later.
I hope this finishes soon, I dont believe it will though.

I know routine and activity is so important to maintaining a good frame of mind and fending off the blues. Keep on posting and talking to us, we're here my friend.

My aunt that lives in Wash DC cut her hand the other day and thought she needed stitches. The doctor told her she couldn't come in. He gave her instructions on what to do and told her it would bleed for 3 days. Be careful while you stay home.
