Official term for the lockdown is "Shelter In Place".

We were told in work today that we would be closing as of tomorrow. A few hours later boris Johnson confirmed that so will the rest of the country. The police can enforce stay at home rules if we are out in groups of more than 2, or we are not out for food shopping, medicine, or 1 lot of exercise

Are People Panic Bying in your areas? It Happen here a lot already an though we have a good amount of Food here from when I went to the Grocery Store I am worry that if we run an have to go again every ting will be gone...   Yes, they are panic buying but as well they are buying to re sell on ebay. Today is the first time I went to the grocry store that the shelves were not empty.
The stores have put limits on certain things now and a store employee on each aisle telling shoppers to leave 2 metres between each other. Only letting so many people in the store at one t, using very other check out and tape on the floors where you should stand in line at the checkouts. No cloth bags allowed and the plastic ones are free right now. There is even an employee at the entrance disinfecting the handle of the cart and offering hand sanitizer. I think the hoarding is over in Canada and the shelves will fill up quickly now. Whether it was for profit or panic in the early days of the virus I think there is lots of food in this country, but the stores were taken by surprise with the volume people were buying.
Hopefully things will level out now. Maybe next week I will actually get some toilet
paper!

Police said that people are pretty reasonable here.
They spotted just a few groups of people the last weekend and yesterday. |

A few good announcements this morning.The provincial gov't have guaranteed that no renters of apartments, homes, etc. will lose their apartments during this crisis. Also, several food processors across the country have given a boost in pay to all employees because of the long hours they are working. This is over and above the overtime pay they receive. Any employee quarantined will receive full pay while they are
off work too. The Premier of this province has said no one will lose their job during this time but I have heard of several people being fired. So not sure how they are going to implement that
clause though.
The Prime Minister does a live broadcast every morning at 8 am. It is not only informative but it seems to calm many Canadians. Very open to what is going on, what programs are in place and financial support that is coming to Canadians. No paperwork to fill out, the amount is decided according to your 2019 Tax Return. Many people scrambling to e file or phone in there Tax Return amounts.
How is your country handling this Virus and more importantly how are members of this
Board doing during this difficult time. It would be interesting to hear.
My thoughts and prayers go out to all Members of this Board. Stay well, all of you are very special.
