This is Dallas County I've been posting about. Official term for the lockdown is "Shelter In Place".
I wonder how Miss mary Strickland, @wayoftheredpanda and lepplady are doing? cat ? thekidd12 ?
As usual, lately anyway, I am late in my response. Sorry...
Me and mine are well. College boy was sent home three weeks back and after a couple of days of complaining about slow internet has settled into the house again. Daughter lives in hardest hit county in NC but has been working from home for same three weeks. Oldest son is still going to supervisor job each day, in medical supply field. (I miss them both terribly but talk to them daily)
My lovely wife is well...here ALL the time...
My "job" has been deemed essential. Somebody has to mow grass at school, especially when the rest of staff took the special emergency leave and are getting paid to stay home. It's ok because I am outside and don't really interact with anyone. Cows are fine when I check on them in afternoons. They don't talk much either.
Thanks so much for asking...
And just so you know I am still me...
Does anyone else think it's odd that in these "social distancing" times that my notification says wolf tagged me???
I know...
Too soon...

If you believe that, once again, I have a bridge to sell you. I learn much from you, Dio. First George Parker, now the James Young Gang. Man … who will be next? LOL. My head is filled with worthless information. I guess it’s a hazard from only watching news and historical documentaries on TV. Who is next? Earlier you mentioned The Lone Ranger and Tonto. Did you know the legend of the Lone Ranger was inspired by a real life legendary lawman of the Wild West, Bass Reeves, who was a African American ex-slave. He was born into slavery in Arkansas and forced to fight for the Confederacy during the Civil War by his master. During the war he escaped to Indian Territory and while hiding out learned the ways and languages of Seminole and Creek tribes. 10 years after the Cvil War ended and having achieved his freedom he returned to the Indian Territory and was made a deputy marshal to capture and kill outlaws that were plaguing the land. Bass eventually made 3,000 arrests and killed 14 outlaws. His exploits, disguises and tricks were legendary. Unfortunately he was removed from his position in 1907 when Oklahoma gained statehood and an African-American was unable to serve in the position as deputy marshal under the new state laws. He died three years later. Of note… Many of the criminals Bass arrested were sent to the Detroit House of Corrections. That jail just so happens to be the same city where the Lone Ranger was first introduced on radio station WXYZ on January 30, 1933. Unfortunately at the time in the 30's the thought of having a legendary black hero was out of the question. I guess the black mask was as far as they'd go to give homage to a black man. I’d love to see The Lone Ranger redone on the silver screen showing the real exploits of Bass Reeves.

I'm so BORED! It's getting serious. I'm starting to cook. Poor Tall Guy has better chances with the virus than with my cooking...
I hope everybody's finding ways to fill their time.

@alexandra
The Premier of your province has got the right idea - they will be greeting foreign travellers (especially the 'snowbirds' or Canadians who have been in warmer climates for the winter) who are returning to BC
They will make them sign legal papers at the airport plus these legal papers will be available on the flights picking them up.
They must have a plan in place for self isolation for two weeks
Good for him!
It was on the news channel but I don't think the video is available online yet
(Earlier in the broadcast he did say he had made an exemption for the Easter Bunny, but told him to make sure he washes his paws)

Got up early today - went to our Real Canadian Superstore for 8 a.m. - the lineup snaked around about three times (like a zig zag) They had yellow caution tape set up so we could practice our distancing.
Took a wee while to get in, plus there was a brisk wind out there so it felt like minus 14 rather than minus 4
Nevertheless it was nice to get in there to do some shopping. Scored a nice big package of TP smilie_girl_freude (never thought I would get that excited over bum wipe)
Then it was over to IGA - didn't buy quite as much there - this wasn't a really big shopping trip, but I tried to find stuff I can use to make homemade Chinese Food as it is cheaper than ordering from our fave Chinese restaurant and then having to go pick it up.
Hope everyone is doing okay and not going too stir crazy from being stuck inside so much.

If you guys stuck at home have ever thought about writing a book, DO IT. DO IT NOW. We've been given this time at home. Write a book, paint a picture, start a garden, do something you've always wanted to do but didn't think you'd ever have the time. I'd love to see what you come up with.

But I'm in a rural parish. So far, we've had 2 reported cases, and no deaths in my parish. We're doing good. Knock on wood.
