Currently reading The Old Man. I like Thomas Perry's style of writing. Fast action like a locomotive barreling down a hill, almost out of control.

Salt, by Adam Roberts
*sigh*
This is the second (or third) Scifi Book i've found this year, and again, it's a disappointment.

This is the second (or third) Scifi Book i've found this year, and again, it's a disappointment. That's a bummer. Robert A Heinlein is my 'go to guy' for Sci Fi. www.goodreads.com/author/show/205.Robert_A_Heinlein I already see humans mining the moon, as they did in The Moon Is a Harsh Mistress. The rich get richer and the poor get poorer. And the Moon will be stripped of it's minerals.

Heinlein's Novels are terrific.
I'm now half way through "Salt" and the Narrator is just a pos,a dictator in disguise.

I picked this up to read before going to sleep - I enjoy reading in bed
I didn't think I would like it but just wanted something to pass the time and relax me. It turns out to be quite good

Split Second and Hour Game, by David Baldacci.
I really enjoy Baldacci's King and Maxwell Series.

Currently reading an anthology of horror : Dark Masques, edited by J.N. Williamson 2001.
Stephen King's "Popsy" is in here along with Richard Matheson's "The Near Departed". I admire Matheson because he wrote this captivating short story in less than 3 pages!

Oh wow, cool! That looks like a great book with some really good food to offer. (Blueberry cheesecake pie does sound intriguing)
Lol, but I'm kinda doubting there will be any recipes incorporating Scott and Lisey's : 'eating nasty-hamburger helper and koolaid'. I may be wrong though.😄

There is nothing about a hamburger helper and Koolaid recipe! Did you know that lobster was considered 'poor food' in the past? They were plentiful and free for the catching, so Mainuhs survived off lobstah stew.

Until restaurant chains started the popularity craze, making their customers think they were getting something exotic. 🙄💔
I tell you what, here is a truly excellent book with a lot of great history and 'origin stories' and recipes for REAL Tex Mex.
This is it, in case anyone might be interested.🙂 ....

Actually listening to audio books rather than reading, while I drive. Currently... ‘The Host’ by Stephenie Meyer. Yes, I live in constant fear of having my Man-Card being revoked. It’s pretty good, although chocked full with way too much emotions and not enough action, IMO.

I remember you getting me watch that one.

I remember you getting me watch that one. Yup, that's the one. Just finished it this morning, so I'll be listening to the last disk again because there were parts I didn't quite understand or get in the first listen to. Plus, it won't be until Saturday that I get to the library to pick out another audio book. I've listened to the Stephen King novels I wanted to, and not really crazy about the selection they have left of his. And I want to take a break from him.
Anyone have any recommendations? I'm more into supernatural tales, rather than horror. But it would have to be works pretty common and read extensively for my small town library to have.
