I have not been able to get in to reading anything for quite a while. But I just started Handmaid’s Tale. I hope this won’t sound like I’m insulting the writer, but (at least at the beginning) it’s kind of easy reading. I think that’s what I need...my brain can’t concentrate deeply right now.

Just Read The Part in Pet Sematary Where Jud Tells Louis The Timmy Baterman Story. I Got The Chills from That Part. Truely Kinda Disturbing an Scary if You Ask Me. The Way Stephen King Describes it Though is Excelent an I Felt Like I was There While it was Happening.

Have you read all Kings books? What is your favorite? No, I haven't read all of his Books. I didn't even finish the DT Series, the last part was "Wizard and Glass".
My Favorite is Bag of bones. I love everything about it. Mike Noonan is my favorite character in the SK Universe.
Not far behind BoB is Duma Key.

I thought it was great. Good story well told. Myself i used finished Airframe by Michael Crichton. It has pace but, i think, is a tad to technical at times. It is a good read that doesn't lose steam but i have read better books by Crichton. But definitely worth reading.

Just started the first story in the book If It Bleeds by SK; the title is "Mr. Harrigan's Phone" - so far it's pretty good!

Killer Come Back to Me - Ray Bradbury
This is a collection of crime stories from Bradbury. There are a few outstanding stories but there are some terrible ones in this collection too. Ray mostly wrote horror and sci-fi and with those two genres, you can be a little loose with technical details and get away with it and Ray could be a bit loose with the details. In crime fiction, the author needs to be more precise about the details and in these stories, Ray is pretty sloppy with details like dead bodies hanging around for a few days and not decomposing and the police making astonishing connections with no evidence. Of course, the stories are beautifully written and very readable but I have a hard time looking past a dead body that been in a house for three days that doesn't seem to bother anyone living there.
Not Ray's best and many of the stories in this book are from very early in his career.

Reading your post made me Google how long it takes for a dead body to smell
Some pretty interesting stuff out there- quite morbid but still interesting 🤔
