Currently reading The Last Wish Introducing the Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski, translated from Polish to English by Danusia Stok
Also bingeing on The Witcher on Netflix
Both are very good representations of fantasy.

The Joshua Profile by Sebastian Fitzek.
It`s a fast paced thriller from germany. Some people say Fitzek is germanys S.K but this is grossly exaggerated.

English Versions, especially older books are pretty hard to get. I love to read the english books. i`ve read "The drawing of the three" three times in english, but never in german. Also The Gunslinger,The Dark Half, Regulators and On Writing.
German translations are awful, especially older books like Christine are badly translated.
Example: The interpreter of christine, i guess he didn't know American Football. So he tried to reconcile American Football and German Soccer. If you don`t know American Football, you are very surprised why some players wear a helmet. And about the match results, like 40:6.

I remember someone else commenting on translated SK books too. Maybe @kurben?
I think you posted something about looking for DT books (probably in English). Bet you are excited to finish the series!

I don't see a thread for Podcasts so I'll add this here.
Levar Burton Reads is a podcast that I enjoy on my phone. It isn't Reading Rainbow, or if it is- then it's for adults. I found this app free on Google Play.
Levar Burton has a great voice. Highly recommend it.

Not that unusual of a result, sounds like whenever the Gunners play a Spanish team!

I finally finished my reread of The Witching Hour by Anne Rice. I loved it as much as I remember but I did not remember the last 2-300 pages at all! I had a completely different ending in my head, I don't know WHAT I was remembering. Maybe confusing it with one of the sequels?
Anyway, started Lasher, book 2, right away. I remember hating it but I do not hate it this time. Maybe it was the 3rd book I hated.
Also started Code to Zero by Ken Follett on the kindle. Pretty good so far.
Read a book of Christmas themed short stories too. Hark the Herald Angels Scream. I got it because it had a Michael Koryta story in it. His story was great, the last story was really good too. A few other good ones, most of them were just ok. But I got it for $1.99, so just the Koryta story and the book ender were worth that price.

Started "The King of Torts" by John Grisham. Did John Grisham not, for a while, start writing different kinds of books? I may be making this up but I do seem to remember him writing a comedy and a romance novel, is this true?

Currently reading Legion by William Peter Blatty, author of The Exorcist. His writing is filled with rich details and strong characters. There's just enough room for the reader's imagination to fill in the blanks.

I don`t know if he wrote a romance novel.

Finally finished The Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult. Currently about halfway through The Bride Collector by Ted Dekker. He's one of my favorite authors.

I'm reading a book/workbook about artistic perspective points. I want to draw buildings better. I should be reading a story by Joe Hill from his book Full Throttle - they will be discussing it tonight over at SKMB - just feeling a little weird and light headed at the moment so I might not be able to chime in.
