I finished The Cypress House this afternoon. Now on to the reread of The Green Mile and then probably The Long Walk. Oh and I need to find time to catch up on the short stories that I have been missing for our group and also get The Breathing Method fit in too!

I read Elevation while we were on our getaway a couple of weeks ago. Right now I'm reading The Tortilla Curtain by T.C.Boyle - morgan sent it to me. I'm really enjoying it. It's not one that I've been staying up all night to finish, but I look forward to it everyday.
I got some updates from GoodReads and there's a lot on my wishlist now.
This in particular sounds like something I'd like to read

A shout out to morgan-- reference The Ridge by Koryta. It has supernatural tones, and deals with a big cat/ wildlife reserve. Add in a lighthouse in the middle of KY. Am half way in, and there are some touchy spots re critters. You might desire to save this one for another time. Will update when I finish the book. Feel free to ask others who have read this book for their feelings. Still a great story.

Started Ghost Story on the kindle last night. I have to have a book going on kindle, even if I am reading a real book, so I have something to do during the long hours I cannot sleep. First time read for me.

I'm almost finished with The Cypress House. Haven't decided what I'm in the mood to read next. I don't have any other Koryta books on hand, so will read more of his stuff in the future.

First time read for me. By Peter Straub? That's the next book of his that I want to read. Highly recommended by SK! He certainly has one of the most unique writing styles that I have encountered.

Update- finished the book. There are parts I think you would not "enjoy" re the critters, but it is still a good read. Maybe save that one for your last book of his books. Straub does have a diff style, but I enjoyed Ghost Stories.

Was hard to put it down when you started reading it. Gran read it in one day, (like she did most books) I could never manage to do that. I'm a plodder when reading and hang on every word.

I finished The Tortilla Curtain - TC Boyle (morgan !!). Sheesh - depressing but classic Boyle with that ending!! Interesting read, I'm glad I read it. Looking for something uplifting. The only book I could find in the house yesterday that I haven't read was One Hundred Years of Solitude. So I picked it up and wow am I in deep now. I'll surface periodically to let you know how it s, but I can tell already, I'm in until it's over. and it won't take long!
