So, humans can't see air, can fish see water ?
But since humans can see water, can fish see air ? They feel air with their eyeballs? I suppose. Do fish even have ears? How do Babbel Fish breathe when they’re in someone’s ear?

I got a question, everybody. 🤔
What does formaldehyde smell like? What is the scent of formaldehyde? Large concentrations of formaldehyde emit a strong, pungent odor that resembles a combination of vinegar and burnt matches. Can smell like sour pickles. You know what, I just remembered one time when I was a kid watching a horror movie.
There was something about a funeral home and embalming going on and I remember being grossed out imagining a kind of nasty fishy smell mixed with chemical.
Dang, one thought leads to another. Talking of ‘fish’ with Frank, triggered that memory.
🤔….i’m not sure if that’s a good thing or not. 😂
Thank you again for your answer, Lady Spidey. 😊

Yeah, I know this phrase. Not very common now, but yeah.
I'm not sure if I buy what that article says about the phrase's origin though.

Have heard the term also. More in the venue from books or movie when someone "ponies up" to a bar.

Interesting. And all this time I thought it had something to do with horse racing.

It’s been a very long time, but I’ve heard this used in different ways before.
Yes, “Pony up.” As in paying up, like “Ante up”.
I’ve think I’ve also heard it used in ways similar to what Lady Spidey said.
“Pony up” something akin to “Put up or shut up.” Like “put your money where your mouth is.”
And even, “Be ready” or “get ready”.
Then, I’m not too sure about this one, but maybe a reference to the Pony Express days. Again, as in “get ready to ride”.
Hope that helps. That’s the best I can remember and I couldn’t read the article in the link. That IS an expression I have not heard in YEARS.
Does anyone remember the 1989-92 TV series “The Young Riders”, with a VERY young Josh Brolin?

I know this one from Poker, Pay money in advance, if you want or not.
