NE - North East
I am also curious as to were you are based, East Coast or West Coast, so as to sort out time zones Northern Germany.
We only have one time zone here, Central European Time (CET) is used as standard time.
Is this Frikadellen dish popular where you live? Oh goodness - now I am getting hungry as I haven't eaten anything yet today

My random thought today is that I am still able to make a really good pumpkin pie from scratch - think I will continue to practice making the pastry part
The filling turned out very nice - almost like a custard (I used three eggs and milk)

Funny story for you, Frank! osnafrank
I think I've told you, but I became buddies with this guy Jan from my Vietnam class. He's German, and I didn't find this out until later, but he's actually a Lieutenant in the German Army (he's on a paid study leave)! He's solely young as well, he's like my age. Anyway, today was our final class and he was waving to someone through the class window. The lecturer makes a joke about him having something to say, he explains that his girlfriend is outside, waiting for him. There's like thirty minutes to go. Anyway, she must not see him all that often, I remember Jan saying, a bit sadly, that they're used to not seeing each other for a while (he's at the barracks back in Germany quite a bit). So, we get out, and I'm talking to a bunch of the guys, and Jan introduces his girlfriend and she's really nice to me (when we say hello). Then Jan says, as we're walking away before we depart, 'man she's really pissed.' She was seriously mad; I mean, I don't blame her, she's travelled to another country to see him, and now she's being told to wait while he's in a lecture. Anyway, I made a joke about how it was an honour to help an LT in the German Army, then jokingly salute. She smiles at this, but then she turns back to Jan and is pissed again. Oh man ...

I wonder what he thinks about flying fish, and those creepy fish that can crawl on land. Florida have any of those wireman ?

We have walking catfish. They are not native here (Asian, I think) but are just another of our many invasive species. You don't see them much anymore around my parts. There used to be a lot of them.

I think those are what I am remembering. Didn't know they were one of the invasive species there though. Dang, poor Florida has a lot of those.💔 I know the Everglades have had problems with Australian Tea Trees being an horticulturally invasive species too.💔 'Melaleuka' I think... (I bet scoup knows 🙂 ) many great uses for tea tree oil. Thanks Taco Man.

Tea tree oil is used as a antiseptic, but believe it or not, the problem here is Pine trees.
