Hello friends! morgan I wish you could send me some thunderstorms - I'd send you some sunshine! It's HOT here in the mid south. It's been a day of chores - and grocery shopping. I swore off of week night drinking - it was making me fat(ter). So I've got a nice bottle of cabernet that I'm looking forward too after dinner - only on Saturdays now. It's a label I've never tried: 19 Crimes - it's about the 19 crimes that could get you shipped off and sent to live in Australia. I'm going to grill a flank steak for fajitas tonight. Corn on the cob. I got a new book in the mail: The Woman in the Window. I think I'll start it after dinner. I hear it's one of those you can't put down - makes me think of Girl on the Train. I'm also reading The Last Anniversary by Liane Moriarty - it's good, but not un-put-downable. It's a ho-hum kind of day, but that's fine by me. I've tried that one - it's good. Enjoy! You deserve it!

I pray for a safe and happy 4th of July to those celebrating the day. Give your critters extra love and cuddles so they aren't so afraid of the fireworks.

One thing I learned is that if you want to post a picture you find one on the internet and right click on it then choose copy image location.
When you click back here on the post you wish to add the picture to, you then select the little icon that shows a picture ["insert image" next to the blue envelope] then where it says image URL right click and paste but back up over the http first (does this make sense? {I hope!}

So I was reading and I had the TV on. I heard a little song that caught my interest but the commercial was very short. Today I heard it again and was able to Google it. I found it on Youtube. The name of the song is, The Story Of An Artist by Daniel Johnston. Listening to the lyrics ... I started to cry. Really. I'm listening to it now as I type and tears flow.Look up Daniel Johnston in Wikipedia and ...it's ...powerful
Let's see if I can post the video
Lyrics
Listen up and I'll tell a story
About an artist growing old
Some would try for fame and glory
Others aren't so bold
And everyone in friends and family
Sayin' "hey go get a job
Why do you only do that only
Why are you so odd?
"And we don't really like what you do
We don't think anyone ever will
We think you have a problem
And this problem's made you ill"
The artist walks among the flowers
Appreciating the sun
He's out there all his waking hours
Oh and who's to say he's wrong
But the artist walks alone
And someone says behind his back
"He's got some gall to call himself that
He doesn't even know where he's at"
And they sit in front of their tv
Sayin' "hey isn't this a lot of fun"
And they laugh at the artist
Saying "he don't know how to have fun"
Listen up and I'll tell a story
About an artist growin' old
Some would try for fame and glory
Others like to watch the world
Songwriters: Daniel Johnston
