I'm doing okay and enjoying the weekend.
Quiet weekend here because of night shifts.  Can't do much, have to be quiet. But that's ok. Kids are all good! Enjoying summer, Evan is working quite a bit, too and learning the value of a dollar. Will have to do some cleaning this evening. But for now just relaxing. How are you doing? |

Welp, I'm here!! Aren't you all just thrilled?? Yes! Wow - this is good - the more the merrier 😃 It is so hot and humid here today. I’m sitting in my Jeep with the AC going (no it’s not the kind you can take the top off lol) I have to return some library books and maybe do a bit of shopping plus deposit a check Hope everyone is having a good weekend 🤓👌🏼 |

I just figured out how to see the member list! There's lots of us registered! Wonderful!
It's been a busy day but I didn't manage to do much at all. Drat. Went strolling downtown for a bit. Beale Street. It was too early for music - bummer, but too hot to wait until it got rolling. Music is the one thing you can count on down there.
We ate at a nice restaurant - but my food was too oniony. And it was one of those places where if you don't have reservations you get sat at a long table with 12 or so other stragglers and you have to squeeze in. I sat on some elderly gent's lap before I could get myself squashed into to my seat. "So sorry, sir!" Got some goodies . We have fun being out of the house together-avoiding cleaning out closets and the garage. "Oh no - the day is over again - how do we end up doing this every Saturday. Oh well, may as well go ahead and open the wine. Too late to start any projects now". We plan on moving in 4 or 5 years. Gotta start unloading- 15 years of of stuff to purge.
It kept looking like rain was coming but it never did.
Seems like soccer is here forever. Good background noise for internet surfing.
That's all I got. Tomorrow is yard work and Mass.

Sounds like a good day! I am constantly downsizing to make it easier to move. Selling what I can and donating the rest. It's an ongoing process. It's difficult to let things go sometimes. But I try to concentrate on the freedom of it all - not letting material things get in the way of moving forward. |

Like to an RV. Live a nomadic life. My co-worker is 79 and says she's considering retirement when she's 80. Seriously. I'm just trying to force myself to keep working 5 more years. Eyes on the prize.

Sounds like you had a really good Saturday. I know how you feel about cleaning up and getting rid of stuff - I've been in this house since 2001 but I think it only started to get a bit cluttered after I got married to Andy in 2005 and then he moved in permanently in 2006 after leaving Scotland.
Count on me to blame the spouse, eh?
But seriously I want to simplify my life too. Apparently the less you have the better your life becomes. Less stuff to organize, clean or take care of and it's supposed to be much better for your mental health. I'll let you know if we ever accomplish such a feat!
So far all I have done is taken out books about the subject from the library [we need the facepalm guy in our smilies here I think].
