Hi there I'm back and feeling better than I thought I would. Had to tell you about my deal Looking through the local buy and sell ads yesterday and spotted a listing for SK Books. To make a long story short I bought the original "The Stand' and 'The Bachman Books' -- first editions/ like new condition/hardcovers. Bought the pair for $20.00. In Canada that is an SK super deal! Very pleased!!

I just figured out how to see the member list! There's lots of us registered! Wonderful! It's been a busy day but I didn't manage to do much at all. Drat. Went strolling downtown for a bit. Beale Street. It was too early for music - bummer, but too hot to wait until it got rolling. Music is the one thing you can count on down there. We ate at a nice restaurant - but my food was too oniony. And it was one of those places where if you don't have reservations you get sat at a long table with 12 or so other stragglers and you have to squeeze in. I sat on some elderly gent's lap before I could get myself squashed into to my seat. "So sorry, sir!" Got some goodies . We have fun being out of the house together-avoiding cleaning out closets and the garage. "Oh no - the day is over again - how do we end up doing this every Saturday. Oh well, may as well go ahead and open the wine. Too late to start any projects now". We plan on moving in 4 or 5 years. Gotta start unloading- 15 years of of stuff to purge. It kept looking like rain was coming but it never did. Seems like soccer is here forever. Good background noise for internet surfing. That's all I got. Tomorrow is yard work and Mass. Y'all be good! Sounds like a good day! I am constantly downsizing to make it easier to move. Selling what I can and donating the rest. It's an ongoing process. It's difficult to let things go sometimes. But I try to concentrate on the freedom of it all - not letting material things get in the way of moving forward.

Wondered if someone could answer a question about a memory stick and a camera. I have memory card (camera) of pictures and my laptop won't download the pictures to my computer for some unknown reason. Haven't been able to download a memory card since Microsoft did a huge download of an update. If I put the memory card and memory stick into my computer will the pics download automatically on to the memory stick? Appreciate any advice you can share.

Greetings
July 9th already - only 10 more days until the big King Kon in Maine
What kind of strange smiley/emoticon would this one be? - I figure it must be a ninja (just noticed it now)
Just going to check on the tomato plants on the back deck which are getting really big. I bought several varieties so it will be interesting to see how they turn out. I have five big plants right now growing in very large clay pots.
The teeny tiny ones that are still on my window sill probably won't get a chance to produce any fruit [or is that a vegetable?] - Anyway I did start a few plants from seed just because I bought this five dollar kit from Giant Tiger more or less as a laugh. I was surprised they even sprouted!
One of the plants that came with the tomatoes is sweet basil plus I also have a small oregano plant that is growing on the window sill. Fresh oregano is very good with spaghetti sauce.
Although the cover shows a nice juicy burger, I think I might just go for the lobster roll
Wow - just realized that is a lobster burger!! (Lobster burger? that seems to be a bit of overkill but maybe they are good)
Hope everyone is having a very good day today!
I am off to go get some coffee and food ♥

Oh Lord. I'm so glad Monday is over. A funny thing this morning: I had to stop by Office Depot on my way in to work. Between me and the employee who was ringing my purchase, we couldn't get our act together. Nothing went right. But we were both patient with each other. Finally a manager came over and had to fix us up - it was mostly me. And I apologized, I said that I couldn't seem to keep my eyes open. (It's true, they have been burny all day). And the fellow that was just as bad as me said "It's the Monday-est Monday that every Mondayed". Ayuh, Sai. It made me laugh. And then I walked out the door without my package, TAK! Had to go back. Monday, go away!! I'd never heard it before, but apparently it's not original. He was good with it though. Y'alll it was 8:15am.

I found this today - I like the red balloons plus it's 310 x 310 so would probably work as an avatar if anyone is interested.
I have to go out soon so will log off - it's great weather for tomato transplanting and taking a trip to the local library!
