I miss Anne Rice. She used to give me advice when I was starting out as a writer. She was such a wonderful person and a gifted author.
(I never attempted to reach out to SK because I knew he was busy, but I got to meet him at a signing.)

He was a great coach, a great color commentator and a great personality.
I remember as a kid, I couldn't stand him just because he was the coach of the Raiders. You either were a Raiders fan or you hated them, there was no middle ground.  The Dolphins, Raiders and Steelers had great rivalries going during his time as coach. I remember he started doing Lite Beer commercials while he was still coach or right at the end of his coaching career. Then went into broadcasting. I was able to like him much more when he wasn't the Raiders' coach anymore.
