2023 was a rough year for my family. We lost 1 aunt, 1 uncle, 1 inlaw, 1 brother and 1 cousin.
RIP Aunt Laura, Uncle Richie, Valerie, brother Paul, and my dear cousin Kim who was too young.

RIP Richard Simmons, fitness guru. He made the world a kinder place.
RIP Doctor Ruth. She was an influential sex therapist with a voice like a German Minnie Mouse. She was a Holocaust survivor.

R.I.P. Bob Newhart. He was a class act to the end.
Now I feel compelled to go watch some old Newhart episodes, I always loved that show. I think Julia Duffy might be the only surviving member of the main cast.

His style, his understated dry deliveries and reactions….
He was incomparable 😂
That series was excellent.
As was his earlier 70’s work,
“The Bob Newhart Show”
with Suzanne Pleshette and Marcia Wallace.
Great characters in that one, lol.
i can’t remember the names of the actors who portrayed Larry and Howard, unfortunately.
Wallace was very good as the receptionist, Carol.
It was nice to see him turn up again on “The Big Bang Theory”. 🙂 |
