Last week I saw SK’s “Big Driver”. Not what I expected at all. It was really good! Got into quickly, and really would love to read the story now. And loved St. Joan in the small part she had.
Last night I finally got to see ”The Boondocks Saints II”. That was great! Lol, not as good as the first film, I think. But it was still good.😊

Triple 9
A gang of criminals are forced by Irina, the wife of a Russian gangster, to steal documents that will convict her husband. However, they find themselves double-crossed while executing their plans.
Movie was ok, nothing extraordinary, lengthy and sometimes boring. Right at the start they introduce so many characters talking about so many things, you feel like you walked into the movie in the middle and the end was horrible.
Great cast, though. Fantastic movie.

After seeing an ad for the recent “Dead Ringers” reboot with Rachel Wise, I watched the original 1988 Cronenberg film with Jeremy Irons. I wonder if the remake will be as good as the film.

Knock at the Cabin
While vacationing at a remote cabin in the woods, a young girl and her parents are taken hostage by four armed strangers who demand they make an unthinkable choice to avert the apocalypse
One of M. Night Shyamalabalablahs better movies in recent memory. David Bautista is growing as an actor, the cast as a whole fit quite well with each other.
It is light on action, but the movie has a dread inducing tension running throughout the entire movie.
Totally worthwhile to see.

Totally worthwhile to see. I’ve been seeing the trailers for this one, I want to see it. I like most of Shyamalan’s work.

Now i want read the book.

I like some of his things that no one else does, like “The Lady In The Water”. I haven’t seen “Old” yet, I’ve been wondering about that one.
“The Village” is one that I have a lot of ambivalence about. I don’t particularly like that story an all, but still I watch it again on occasion.
The trilogy, “Unbreakable”, “Split” and “Glass” are my best favorites of his.

I was watching The Birds last night, for the first time since I was a youngster.
It's been on my mind of late because a few weeks back I was watching a rerun of the old d**k Cavett show, one where he was interviewing Alfred Hitchcock about the film. Hitchcock said people often asked him about the ending, which you might recall was somewhat ambiguous. Hitchcock said he didn't really have a very clear idea of where to go with the ending of the film, which is why he left it as he did.
Anyhoo, I knew our library had a copy and that it was in, so that was last night's entertainment. Hopefully the David Tennant film I put on hold will come in next week. It was fun to go back and revisit our berserk feathered friends. I see the film is also turning 60 this year.
EDIT: Okay, how about Richard Cavett? ???

We know you’d never say a bad word, Tanith. 😊

Zodiac
Robert Graysmith, a cartoonist by profession, finds himself obsessively thinking about the Zodiac killer.
First, it's just way too long, it gets very boring in the middle.
The movie overall is good with a interesting start. Great acting by all the actors, and a very well directed movie.
London has Fallen
When a terrorist attacks leaders across the world who attend the British Prime Minister's funeral, a Secret Service agent tries to escape with his team.
It's a decent movie that keeps you entertained. The action is superb, and both Gerard Butler and Aaron Eckhart were amazing in their roles.

Resident Evil (2002)
Written and directed by Paul W.S. Anderson.
The first in the W.S. Anderson series of RE movies! I've been on a real Resident Evil kick after playing the remake of Resident Evil 4, so decided to return to the well of the movies! I've always been a big lover of these movies, I know some folks that are fans of the games don't like them because they're not like the games, but I'm always of the opinion that you do something different with an adaption. If W.S. Anderson did do an adaption of one of the games, for example, then everyone would be saying, 'oh, well, its just the same as the game, why put the film on?' I think that this is very loyal to the games, but it does tell a totally new story, which is what I think adaptions should be. Basically, the story of this films follows a recently memory wiped Alice and a team of crack Umbrella troops in the Hive, basically the main bioengineering facility of Umbrella, a very evil pharmaceutical company. A lot of really cool action, I particularly love the sequence on the train! A lot of cool twists at the end as well! I won't go into it because of spoilers, but I really loved that this film is set solely in several locations and doesn't go here, there and everywhere. It makes it really fun! A lot of cool easter eggs for lovers of the games as well! Overall I would reccomend.
I believe that James Cameron said that this was his ultimate guilty pleasure movie ... I'm glad he likes it, but I think its a legitimately good movie!

The other night we got to see “Ready or not” with Adam Brody and Annie McDowell. Really good and much better than I expected. This flick has it all, lol. It’s worth a watch Commander osnafrank .😄
And I guess about 2 weeks ago we caught “Knives out”, with Christopher Plummer, Daniel Craig, Michael Shannon and others. Another good one!
….just love dysfunctional families and their stories.😂

Today I had a movie recommended to me that I’ve got to try and find, “Everything Everywhere, All at Once”. I was told that it is an excellent work.

Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City
Claire and her brother Chris get caught in a zombie outbreak in the dying Raccoon City. They must band together with others to survive and uncover the truth about the experiments held in the city.
It was far worse than I could have imagined. How they butchered Leon Kennedy's character in this movie .....
Claire: A rebel who acts like a… jerk the entire movie. Also doesn’t like her brother. The story doesn't take place anywhere close to the game story except for beginning and end.
Etc etc......
