Yes, it's on Hulu. Forgot about that scene because I watch these movies with my eyes covered during the scary parts. Not sure how bad it truly was. I'm not very helpful, am I? Lol LOLOLOL! You watch with your eyes closed!! How are we SK fans? I think I edit the books in my head. It's different on the screen! I've been listening to Lore while I fall asleep. It's kind of boring. I keep wanting to watch The Haunting of Hill House on Netflix, that mom's jawline scares me though. That's as far as I get . Mom clenching her jaw, and I 'm out! We're big chicken babies. Yep, I am the biggest chickenshyte ever! I agree about SK books - I can compartmentalize the gory stuff and I don't visualize it at all. That's why I'm so brutalized when it comes to scary movies and only watch them (for the most part) once a year for the marathon!

Can you describe the character? OK it finally worked!!! Do you know who that is? {Spoiler} That's the dreaded Rev. Henry Kane from Poltergiest 2. The first one was great but 2 was not. But Kane was creepy. He's wicked smart and can probably do some kind of image search to tell you who that is!

Yeah I recognize the character although I’ve only watched the original poltergeist. So he was in a Poltergeist sequel? Yeah he was like the main villain of the second one I guess. I’m pretty sure he was the third real life death related to the “Poltergeist Curse” conspiracy, the first and second being the girl who played the older sister in the original after she was murdered by her ex and the actress for the little girl in all three films who died at age 12 from some heart condition I think. While I don’t believe the spirits from the film actually cursed these three actors it’s still super sad, especially since the main actress grew increasingly paranoid through her last months of life that the spirits from her movies were what were killing her.

32.) The Fly (1986). I forgot how utterly gruesome this movie is! But, you have to give a lot of credit to the special effects team. For as old as this film is, the transformation images were incredible.
Thanks again wireman for letting me know where to find this one!
Have you ever watched Part 2 ?

Have you ever watched Part 2 ? No, but I think it's on Hulu. Maybe I'll watch it next week sometime. Is it good?

34.) All the Boys Love Mandy Lane (2006). Teenage slasher flick, but I didn't predict part of the ending, so that's a good thing. Say what you want to about Amber Heard, but she sure is purty. Lol I thought this movie was better than The Ward (2010) which she was also in, but they were scored the same on IMDb.

35.) Room (2015). More of a thriller. But, if the storyline of this movie isn't horror, I don't know what is! Watched this for the first time not too long ago. I think this might be the first movie I've watched again (especially this soon) and was almost as transfixed as the first time viewing. The little boy (Jacob Tremblay) is so outstanding, there aren't enough words to praise his performance.

36.) 1922 (2017). Re-watch. Not a favorite, but it's a decent movie. Very good cast. I still have difficulty with Thomas Jane's accent in this film, but others have said it was spot on.

37.) Let the Right One In (2008). Re-watch. Such a great movie. Still haven't seen the English language version of this film, Let Me In (2010). It's not streaming on Netflix anymore. I hope they add it again soon.

8. The Exorcist (again). Caught it on TV and watched again. It really is amazing how well this has held up. The uncut version with swear words and masturbating with Jesus is best but either one gives a horrific portrayal of evil. No waffling with this demon. Just pure evil. 9. Funeral Home. A bit of a thriller done in a seventies made for TV movie kind of way. By the first third you have who done it figured out but it's still interesting to see how it plays out. Similar to Psycho but cornier. The part I found to be jarring was {Spoiler} when they pulled the car out of the quarry and it had no motor. WTF? When it was driven to the edge it had one.

Wow. Absolutely could not unspoiler ten so had to post it here.
10. The Hearse. Not very good. Parts were interesting. There sure was a lot of broken glass but the deaths were fairly lame. Considering the devil worshiper aspect I expected more. Bit of a hodge podge which ends unexpectedly and poorly as if they ran out of money at that point.

Here's my update (including some that were posted on the main board). I can't believe I've managed to stay on track.
16. Halloween: The Curse of Michael Myers - This one has Paul Rudd and that’s about all I can say for it. Though I do wonder how Jamie learned to drive after being held in captivity since she was like 6 or whatever. Also, is this baby supposed to be Michael’s?
17. Halloween H20 - This one hits the reset switch on all of the Jamie Lloyd stuff, which is probably a good thing because none of that ever made any sense to me. This was much more enjoyable than the others but still filled with all of the usual horror movie clichés (power is out/ lights don’t work, car won’t start, folks running up the stairs instead of out the door, etc.) but I have yet to see a slasher film that isn’t.
18. Halloween: Resurrection - Hold on, hold on. This one DOESN’T retcon H20 entirely but just eliminates the fact that people have lived in the house since the original murders happened? What, why? I mean, just freaking retcon all of it. What was the point of that? Overall, this one should probably be listed in the comedy category but the biggest disappointment is that we didn’t get to see Tyra Banks die in the movie (though I have since seen the cut scene on Youtube and understand why it was cut). And I know I’ve basically talked sh*t about all of these movies but I really have enjoyed them anyway. With the exception of some seriously problematic storylines and massive continuity issues, they’re still tons of fun to watch.
19. Halloween (2007) - This was my first time seeing this one and I think this is now my favorite of the Halloween movies just because of the soundtrack. It’s a total remake/re-imagining of the original by Rob Zombie. Michael’s mom is a stripper who is married to a gross, abusive waste of space and they are just the perfect image of poor, white trash. There is WAY too much gratuitous nudity of “teen” girls for my taste but the storytelling is solid and I found it much scarier than its predecessor.
20. The House of the Witch - Some teens behave stupidly and get stuck in a house. People die.
21. The Babadook - I needed a guaranteed good one and was with a friend who needed cheering up so this rewatch was warranted. Strangely, I found it scarier on this rewatch than I did during my first viewing but maybe that’s because I was watching it at 3 am this time and I was drunk.
22. Malevolence - This was ok. Worth a viewing, I think. I liked the whole con artists until they weren’t thing and it had the whole creepy kid thing going on which is always fun. There’s a twist that was a bit predictable and could have been more dramatic but still made for a more interesting story than just the standard haunted house fare.
23. The Open House - God, this was so bad. And the ending. Ugh. Stop wasting my time, people. Don’t watch this.
24. H2: Halloween II (2009) - This is definitely the goriest of the Halloween movies. I'm not sure I loved the ghost mom and mini-Michael thing but I did find it to be a thoroughly enjoyable and a satisfying conclusion. That completes my existing Halloween movie binge (though only movie 24 in my 31 in 31 challenge) so now I am pumped and ready for the new one (which I know has nothing at all to do with this).
25. The Haunting (1999) - How had I never seen this? I love Owen Wilson (and my kids like counting how many times he says “wow”). At any rate, I haven’t been watching the Hill House series yet because I feel weird about counting TV shows in my 31 in 31 so there just hasn’t been time for it so it was nice to sneak a related movie in (I also recently listened to the audible version of the original book). It’s definitely more of an “inspired by” situation rather than a direct retelling and was not nearly as frightening as I’m expecting the new series to be but it was fun and managed to stand the test of time relatively well.

38.) The Vault (2017). Not very good. At least the story was a little bit unique, but James Franco's mustache gives away at least a part of the ending. Lol
39.) Darkness Rising (2017). Oh. My. Gawd. This was soooooo bad! All I will remember about this is the really fakey screaming throughout the entire movie. (Kinda like in the third Blair Witch movie.) IMDb rated this a 3.3/10 and that is generous.

40.) Child's Play (1988). It's been eons since I've watched this. Fun, except for the times when I felt so bad for the little boy. It's only a movie, but that's just the way I am.
41.) Bad Match (2017). I should probably be embarrassed to admit this, but I didn't hate this movie. And the ending surprised me, which is always a good thing!

42.) The Ones Below (2015). I didn't think this one was too bad either. Although the ending was very predictable. David Morrissey (from TWD) did a decent job in his role.
43.) Creep (2014). Re-watch. This movie didn't hold up for me on the second viewing. I will have to take back what I posted weeks ago about Creep 2 being a tie with the original. I might actually like the second one better. Mark Duplass was excellent, but the acting of the other guy (Patrick Brice) was terrible IMO.
