Okay, I need a little help here Commander osnafrank . I was watching a show recently, and a man was commanding his 2 Rottweilers (they're GOOD doggos, and took good care of their daddy 😊❤). I had the closed captioning on and maybe the spelling was wrong in that, google translate is making no sense to me on these 2 words I picked up, maybe you can help me out, Boss. 😊 The words were : Fass and Aus. Any idea on this? when he said Aus, the dogs stopped what they were doing. when he said Fass they more or less attacked. I think i know what 'sit' is in German....maybe I am wrong or not spelling it correctly ...sitze. Thanks for any help, Frank! 😊 "Fass" means, Attack, Sic em.
"Aus" means Drop it, Give. Thank you, Frank! 😊..what you have said makes perfect sense going with what I saw happening. 😊
okaaaaaay ...adding to my vocabulary lists...and whenever I hear/see Frank say 'Sitze' or 'Aus', I better heel and be a goodwolf! 😋🐺 😄😉 (I guess I got 'sitze' right, you didn't say Boss. 😊😉 )

Hold up your hands and clap them together.
Wait one second, then do it again.
If you could plot the distance between the first clap and the second clap, it would be more than 800 kilometers.
This is because the Earth is moving around the sun, the sun is moving around the center of the galaxy, the galaxy is moving through the Virgo Supercluster, and the Virgo Supercluster is barreling through the universe. When you add up all the velocities and compare the result to the cosmic microwave background (which is the closest thing we have to a universal frame of reference), it comes out to about 800 kilometers per second.
In the time it took you to read this, you've traveled farther than you'll ever walk in your life. ....I have not forgotten this post... it has had my brain gears clicking, whirring and sometimes grinding. See you later in the physic's thread with a thing or two that I have thought on in earlier years, related to this very thing. 🙂

Hals means Neck, Throat. Danke, Frank! applouse The same tv show, that I caught the other words in. When he said "Hals." the dog held the intruder/attacker down by the throat. When he said "Aus." a few moments later, the dog released the intruder and stood down. 🙂

Sounds like Attack Dog Training. My Uncle did this at the British military with Dobermans.

"Bleib."
Could this be 'Quiet' or 'Silence', as a command?
Thank you for helping me, Frank. You're the best, Boss!

Büddeschön, wolfie. Hey hey Frank Got it, danke! (the man has to go on a trip and can't bring his dogs. He had them on their leashes, and left them with someone to take care of them. When he was going back to his car, they got upset and started barking. He looked back at them and said "Bleib." and they immediately quieted down. ...it was sad, they wanted to go with Daddy. 💔❤🙂)

The other week I learned that :
"Spitze"
is Taunusstein slang (?) for "Tops" or " the Best".
(Mama said. )

"Spitze", has different meanings.
Das ist Spitze---great, awesome, marvelous
an der Spitze liegen---to be in front, to be in the lead
A taunt.
Lace
Also, peak, apex, spire.

Also, peak, apex, spire. Awesome Boss! Danke! I can imagine how that is. Like "Beauty" is sometimes used as a slang exclamation for something 'really cool, nice, beautiful or tops/the best'. Like "Aces" too, lol.
Inflection , context/circumstance has so much to do with it all...when learning any language.
(It's fun actually picking things up from 'conversation'...the best you can online...and I've really liked watching that show, and trying to figure some things out. )
Thank you for going to such great lengths to explain these expressions and words, and their various uses to me!
Lol, I have learned the hard way to TRY and be more careful with what I say...It may not always mean what I intend to say....
