I'll probably check it out when its released on DVD/Blu-Ray. I'm not all that impressed, from trailers and promotional stuff, with Pattinson in the part. I would have much have preferred that they kept Ben Affleck in the part. A Matt Reeves directed Ben Affleck Batman film would have been awesome.
But I hope you enjoy it!

I want to see it, Sis. 😊 Kinda like edwardjohn Loki on Pattinson. I'm skeptical on him being in this part.
But I will give any 'Batman' a chance. 😊 Clooney is great...but as the Batman?...nah. One of my least favorites. THOUGH, I think he did make a wonderful 'Bruce'. Loved seeing him work with Michael Gough (Alfred). (I think Bale was a better Batman...but not the BEST Bruce. Keaton did fantastic as both sides of the hero. ..for that type/style of Burton film.)
Really looking forward to Kravitz as Catwoman, and I am hoping that Pattinson surprises me. 🙂

Pattinson does a good job and he and Zoe have chemistry but it was just too soon to reboot again. Nearly 3 hours, lots of action, lots of fun... but if you like stories to progress and not keep hitting the rewind button, you may feel its way too soon to be back at square one. But I actually prefer the story in Arkham city, the video game, far closer to the Batman I dig... but I still think most fans of comic book films will really enjoy the new Batman...

I really don't understand why Reeves got rid of Ben Affleck. He's the perfect, comic book Batman. Warner wanted a new Batman that would score as well at the box office and Ben wasn't getting the job done. As things stand right now, Pattinson's Batman, its opening weekend scored higher than the Batman films with Keaton, Ben, Clooney, and Kilmer, some film journalists say it may actually beat the box office draw for Batman Begins. So while Ben will play Batman briefly in the Flash, that's that for Ben, Warner has their new box office success when comes to who plays the Bat. To be fair, there's been too many variations of Batman in the comic in the last 80 years for any one actor ever getting all of them right.

So while Ben will play Batman briefly in the Flash, that's that for Ben, Warner has their new box office success when comes to who plays the Bat. To be fair, there's been too many variations of Batman in the comic in the last 80 years for any one actor ever getting all of them right. To be fair, Dev, Affleck's Batman did bring in money. Batman vs Superman nearly made a billion! You can't say a film's a flop if it makes nearly a billion (plus, it also had the record for best opening weekend for a while). Is that as good as the MCU movies? No. But they've got this weird, mainstream audience that will go to see anything that's got the Marvel logo (or should I say Disney?) on it. Plus, while Zack Snyder's Justice League wasn't released on theatres, it did insane business for HBO Max as well as being one of the best Blu-Ray sellers in 2021. So I think its a bit of a myth that Affleck's Batman didn't bring in the dollar.
Plus, I think we should also take into account that the films that Ben appeared in weren't strictly Batman films. Batman vs Superman, as the title notes, made it pretty obvious to the audience that Batman wasn't going to be the films main protagonist. Plus, audiences also knew that it was a sequel to Man of Steel. And Justice League is an ensemble piece, its, again, not got Batman as the main protagonist. We don't know what type of business a strictly solo Ben Affleck Batman outing would have done.
There's no reason why a solo Ben Affleck Batman film couldn't have done the same kind of business (or more) that The Batman is doing.
I think its also important to note that a lot of The Batman's success can be attributed to Affleck. It was Affleck, after all, that brought in Matt Reeves to direct/write the film. They hype for this movie dates all the way back to when Ben was going to direct it, which isn't surprising considering his filmography (especially as director). So I think Warner's owe Ben something for how well The Batman is doing.

To be fair, Dev, Affleck's Batman did bring in money. Batman vs Superman nearly made a billion! I wouldn't but Warner would since they're competing with Disney.. Keep in mind these numbers aren't adjusted to inflation, tickets cost a good 2-3 more now then when Dark Knight came out. Batman v Superman: Dawn of the Justice - Global Total 873.6 million - RT score: 29% Spider-Man: No Way Home - Global Total 1.77 billion - RT score: 93% Far From Home also made far more than Batman V. Superman and did better on RT. Warner and Disney are in a war and its sadly a waste of time... Disney will win, they just have too much going for them at the moment.

And of course due to the popularity of the film, Mezco already has a prototype, and a pre-order for the new Batman... Skipping this one, its too similar to one they made that I already have. The only difference really, the Bruce head is mead to look like Arkham City's Bruce, the new head is made to look like Pattinson. How the second film plays out should be interesting. Wonder what the next Spidey film will be called.. Far From Home, No Way Home.. so um.. Home is Where Heart Is?
