IT: Chapter Two Will Feature The Weirdest Element From The Book There were many reasons why a movie based on Stephen King's IT didn't get off the ground before last year, but certainly one among them is the fact that the novel contains a lot of weird stuff. Even beyond the talked-to-death orgy scene, there is the crazy way in which The Losers Club defeats Pennywise, called the Ritual of Chüd, involving all kinds of bizarre metaphysics, and tongue-biting. If you Google Port Hope Ontario it gives you quite a bit of info about the town - I can see now why they chose to film there - really looking forward to seeing Part II!

The second half of It has a ton of confusing mythology and magic wrapped up in it, and one of the most bizarre elements is the Ritual of Chüd, which the Losers Club perform to try to defeat It.
