IT: Chapter Two Will Feature The Weirdest Element From The Book There were many reasons why a movie based on Stephen King's IT didn't get off the ground before last year, but certainly one among them is the fact that the novel contains a lot of weird stuff. Even beyond the talked-to-death orgy scene, there is the crazy way in which The Losers Club defeats Pennywise, called the Ritual of Chüd, involving all kinds of bizarre metaphysics, and tongue-biting. It's material that's actually kind of hard to fully imagine even when you're reading the book, but according to screenwriter Gary Dauberman, fans will definitely see a cinematic take on it in IT: Chapter Two: www.cinemablend.com/news/2457219/it-chapter-two-will-feature-the-weirdest-element-from-the-book

Why am I not remembering that ritual the way they're referencing it? a050 The second half of It has a ton of confusing mythology and magic wrapped up in it, and one of the most bizarre elements is the Ritual of Chüd, which the Losers Club perform to try to defeat It. To perform the ritual, someone has to interlock their tongue with It's tongue, then they both bite down and begin telling jokes. The first person to laugh is then banished to the netherworld. Yes, I know... it's crazy. While all this tongue-biting and joke-telling is going on in the physical realm, the Ritual of Chüd also involves a psychic battle between It and the Losers in the metaphysical realm. www.elitedaily.com/p/what-is-the-ritual-of-chud-it-chapter-2-will-include-the-bizarre-act-11868268

According to Jeremy Ray Taylor's official Instagram, they have wrapped filming on Location, and must now be in the studio for the last few days:

If you Google Port Hope Ontario it gives you quite a bit of info about the town - I can see now why they chose to film there - really looking forward to seeing Part II!

Sounds like a riddling contest on a train I once heard about though, just no tongues.

I found a Girlfriend for IT Forget Pennywise bro, do your buddy a solid and get me her number. Be logical, do you want to be in a relationship where you can only see her every 27 years? You’ll be dead before you can even see her enough times to make it official

It: Chapter 2’ – Release date, casting news, trailers and everything we know so far Who's ready for more Pennywise?
Coulrophobiacs, look away now – it looks like Pennywise is here to stay.
After It raked in one of the biggest openings for a horror film in modern box office history, the cogs are now firmly in motion on a sequel to the well-received 2017 adaptation of Stephen King’s It. Here’s what we know so far about It: Chapter Two, from release date to casting details.www.nme.com/blogs/the-movies-blog/it-2-film-release-date-casting-trailer-2139755
