Oh Ok I Will Join Soon Deviancy It Sound Fun. Thank You! The plan is for it to be fun but I really need to start updating it more, been working on it very slowly and adding things here and there. So far its mainly women members, so its been very, very peaceful. I'm not implying that guys are trouble makers, but more often than not, most internet trouble does come from guys. Its a guy thing I guess...

If it wasn't for King's work, I don't know if there'd be an Ookie Spookie, I mean between the music I got into as a kid and King's stories, and movies, and of course John Carpenter's, and well the Lost Boys, it played into the whole "spooky" thing I've always been into.
I've only been away from here for awhile due to all the political debates going on right now. When I get into political mode its hard for me to break out of it at times.

Since the board is still in its infancy, I decided to re-register ookiespookie.com and started working on a new forum using phpbbb. It isn't much different than the coding freeforums uses, it just allows me not to have to worry about any rules they may have regarding sharing concert bootlegs on the forum. I'm going to then keep both forums up to allow those who have joined the freeforums one to transition over to the new one as time goes on.
The fun part, its been over 10 years since I've coded by hand and while PhPbbb and the hosting company I use (Dreamhost) do a lot of the work automatically, I still have to code the basics like color schemes, dimensions, blah, blah. Coding is a pain in the butt but there is one plus side. Back when I did my older sites, there was Internet Explorer and Netscape Navigator I think, so what looked good on Internet Explorer looked bad on Netscape, then if I made it look better on Netscape, it looked bad on IE. These days, Firefox, Chrome, and Edge, they're all basically the same. So that part is nice...

I went to put up the new forum today and I kept getting some ICANN message saying the site was suspended because I didn't register it right. Was on the online chat with the hosting company for an hour, they said they were able to see it, tried so many things, then it would come back up and go back to the ICANN error again. I finally rebooted the router and so far it looks like it was a dns issue, so far.
With that being said, the new forum is up on the new domain, just need to make a header image, which I can put off for the time being...
Dizzy you joined the old forum, but I think you'll like this one better...
And everyone else of course is free to join but Dizzy just joined the original forum and I went and created a new one. This one should work better on phones, and it has some other goodies as well.

Cool.. I'm taking a break for a bit, the coding gave me a bit of a headache. But if you have any issues just shoot me a PM here or a reply here. Well, the last time I checked, your pro boards Ookie is still there. Sorry that I have not checked in and said hello (at the least) in so long. I’ve not been well since Christmas time last year, and I’m not able to get on my computer for awhile. For some reason, I can’t sign in on my iPhone. Damnit. This one is a hand me down, and I think a 10. It’s got some bugs, I’m going to take it to the Apple guys and get them fixed. I tried to post in the live chat box as a guest, but you’ve got that feature turned off to guests. Just want to say hey to you and J. (JohanneSouless) and that I’m thinking of you guys and wishing/hoping you’re both okay. Please pass that on to her if you read this. Miss her and you. Here and there.  |
