It's frustrating that so much of the King collectibles are all about Pennywise, there's at least 5 different toy companies that have made figure, one can get various 7 inch figures from Neca, and one 8 inch cloth figure, Mezco has one 6 inch cloth figure, and then there's a Funko line of 3 inch figures, and the Japanese have started tossing them out as well. There's posters, there's stickers, there's shirts, there's even a thong with the IT logo, which imo is a bit off, why would a woman want "IT" right where her privates are?
Meanwhile, there's just very little or nada on the other films, they did bother with Dark Tower, which was a marketing flaw, Rose from Doctor Sleep would have been a better move but total fail there. I do see why in some cases, King creates very cool characters but gives them a very vanilla look, so figures of just ordinary looking people, not going to sell very well but Salem's Lot, some from Doctor Sleep, and I'm really surprised there's not more Jack stuff. I mean there is a reason they didn't bother with Laurie Strode from Halloween until the new films, she was just a generic teenager, but now she's like a Sarah Connor, so now the marketing is there.
Funny thing is, there is a Simpsons figure of Stephen King...
What I'd like to see, Rose The Hat, a non Ken doll looking replica of Jack, and maybe something from Salem's Lot and the Stand. But not gonna hold my breath.... As for Pennywise, totally sick of him, maybe in a few years I'll pull the films up again but they just ran that franchise into the ground.
Hoping the Salem's Lot remake, if its still happening, leads to a new line of collectibles, people dig vampire stuff. But time will tell... On the bright side, a whole new line of Alien stuff is coming out by various companies, probably due to the rumors of a tv show.
