"Ideas for the 2021 Christmas Story we have so far" :
1. A story of a group of writers who are held captive by a tyrannical taskmaster. - diobolic
2. A wicked Christmas ghoul character of some kind, and tough Santa Klaus/Father Christmas/St. Nicholas. - wolf
3. A story about an ordinary evil old woman (or ANY person)
is baking and cooking holiday treats, and is secretly poisoning neighbors and other townspeople. - Wolf
4. Santa Claus is enlisted by George Washington to help patriots - edwardjohn
5. A dystopian world in which Santa really exists. And it is ruled by the corrupt Naughty and Nice Police . - Dio
6. The Devil poses as Santa in town recovering from tragedy and turns the children against their parents in a gruesome fashion. - Dio
7. A large family gathering a Santa is hired to visit, secretly intends to kidnap kids! - Dio
8. Xmas party in a very large Victorian mansion, and the kids will be playing a game of hide and seek, extra kid, or entity among them. -Dio
9. A Christmas Ghost of Time, can change something from a person's past. - Dio
10. A "Little Match-Girl", Hans Christian Andersen type tale but with a happier ending. ( any era, place, character...etc...) - Wolf
11. A Vampire Santa, or a vampire impersonating Santa! - darkharbinger
12. A Character could be seeing imaginary people, or that's what everyone thinks...but they are really there.
13. Spooky house, tormented ghost(s) and a horrible town in need of Christmas spirit. A darker version of It's a Wonderful Life. - docpain2
Okay guys! I think some of these suggestions are SIMILAR,
but still deserve their own numbers on the list.
We've got some 'ghost/house themes, or house/malevolent entity(ies)'
You guys think on it all, and start saying which ones you really like. And if you have more new ideas/suggestions keep bringing them!
I personally think I like 3. 8. and 13. the best.
And they kinda all go together under 13. in a way.
They could.
And we could have Santa/Father Christmas/St. Nick involved in that if we want to.
(I wouldn't mind seeing an old hardass Sgt. Rock (Or Sgt. Fury for that matter) kind of character as one of the townspeople or as a restless spirit. 😄)
6. and 11. are very much a like, I think.
9. and 10. COULD go together.
We can go wherever we want in our chapter,
we just need to settle on One Story Idea that we all like and want to start with.
So holler out and say what you like or don't like.

Hey guys,
hope you all are having a good day.🙂
Here's where we are right now :
1. All writing will have to be finished by Dec.16th for sure.
I'm sure we will have it all done long before then.
And I will come up with our writers schedule very soon.
2. I've gotten no opposition for writing the story in 3rd person.
So that's decided.
3. Cap docpain2 and JB darkharbinger
have said they will go with what the group goes with on our theme.
And Edders edwardjohn is voting for his theme idea.
So when diobolic Dio speaks up with a preference,
We'll get onto making a decision on that. And I'll tally everything up like before.
4. We need to get everyone's placement preference settled after that is done.
5. One thing, we need to decide on number of chapters.
I personally like the idea to do 8 chapters,
1st and last chapter's 1,500 words max.
In between chapters 750 words max.
Alternating writers.
But I do also like Cap docpain 's suggestion
that we could do 5 long chapters
all 1,500 words max.
So y'all come speak up on that issue, please.🙂

"Sgt. Rock" was a G.I. DC Comics character. 😊
Marvel Comics of course had "Sgt. Fury",
who later went on to help found and run S.H.E.I.L.D. of course. 😊

We'll see!...we'll get all this other stuff done first,
before I come up with more crazy sh!t. Lol. 😄😉

I also like the idea of of two writers doing 1,500 longer word chapters first and last. And the other three doing two 750 word alternating chapters. It makes it a challenge.

I'm good to go anywhere... first, last or anywhere in-between. First or last chapters might be interesting, never done a first or last chapter except in college. And thanks but no scotch for me after the past Saturday. I've given up on scotch forever, or till next weekend... whichever comes first.
