I'm here. Is it too early to start talking about the St Valentine's Scary Story yet? I'm looking forward to our National Pittsburgh Day story, which occurs on the 12th of April. Its going to be about a homicidal man who named himself after a Black Sabbath singer, and has a real affinity for Monty Python.

Hey?...you know what? I got a question for the both of you, and for diobolic and docpain2 ....
"What is your FAVORITE type of Christmas Story you like to watch or read every year?"
Really looking forward to any answers to this question. ๐ What y'all might bring, might help us out MORE with theme and so on... ๐
For me, I like a few different Christmas movie story lines, but one thing I really like to read every year is :
"A Christmas Memory" by Truman Capote.
I really liked this one! And used to read it with my sun when he was a little boy! It reminded me of making 'plum pudding' every year with my great gran.๐ It's really a very good little tale.
(hmmm...not sure if this one is ranked a short story or a novella. I have a hard back copy of it, I need to get it down from the top of the bookshelf. ๐)
I hope everyone has had a good day, and has a great night, and a best tomorrow! ๐

In terms of literature, Dickens most likely.

BOTH truly excellent choices, Edders. ( edwardjohn , our resident Loki. ๐) I like those too.๐
I like the older classic tales, like Dickens, and modern type stories too. And I am still so on board for some kind of a 'Tough Santa' in a story.
What comes to mind, is a little like how he was portrayed in the "The Lion, The Witch and the Wardrobe"....except more 'tough' and badazz! ๐
But I am by no means suggesting we borrow or steal from any classics, we all can come up with our own 'different and new'. ๐
I really think we all did a fine job with the Halloween Story! It was a modern tale, but not way 'out there' like ...say...the 'Underworld' series.
(nothing wrong with those films/stories of course, I really liked them.๐)
Sorry guys, I'm just thinking out loud again, lol.๐๐
