Why in the Story The Grave Yard Shift by Stephen King When the Guy Telling the Story (Hall I Think his Name was) an His Booss are in the Creepy Sub Basement...why do they Keep Walking Forward all the way to the End where the Giant Rat is?? I Would Have Been Outta there Long before then. I always Wonder that tbh.

Hall and Warwick kinda have a 'two for flinching' thing going on the whole story, giving each other grief. In the end Hall snaps and forces his boss on further into the place. This story is a weird retelling of Lovecraft's Rats in the Walls with the mutation of the rats and the subcellars leading down in to the abyss. In that story its a literal decent into madness also.

I just recently watched the old movie adaptation of Graveyard Shift--found it streaming on either Tubi or Pluto tv --and was not disappointed! It's not a very scary story, but between the rats and the undesirable humans, there's more than enough grossness to go around.🐀🐀🐀
(Sorry if I should have posted this in the movie section--just getting used to the lay of the land again.)
