Mezco usually does not do re-issues, but for whatever reason, they re-issued Jason Vorhees.
Mezco decided to go with his look in the third since its his most iconic look and when he began to wear the mask, and they did a damn good job with the figure, all the colors are dead on, and the face sculpts look exactly how he looked before he spent a few years decaying between the end of the 4th and the start of the 6th. The face is all disfigured like in the films, and his back has the the lump and fatty flesh, all sculpted quite well. The second head is disfigured as well but its of his head after he took the butcher knife in the head, and the knife can be popped into a gash in the head for a neat look, also has a second mask with the break in the mask caused by the knife.
I'm not crazy how they made the hands darker than his forearms, they were going for a dirty hands look but they don't look dirty, they look tanner, but they look far darker in the pics on the Mezco site, so luckily the mass produced figures didn't get the hands from the prototype pics, that would have been bad.
But other than the hand thing, the detail on the face is just dead on and the masks look outstanding and pop on perfectly and you can still see the gleam of his eyes with the mask on. He also comes with almost every single weapon from the 3rd film, one gets his iconic machets, a wrench, the crossbow, the poker, and a few of the other weapons. Another cool thing about this specific figure, all of Mezco's figures come with bases to use to keep the figures in place but they use piano black plastic for the bases and get scuffed up very easily, Jasons base is piano black plastic but the logo on the top is matte paint that covers the whole top of the base, so no scuffs, yay.
If you're a Jason fan, this is the Jason figure you want...
