Recently read Joyland while visiting my 84 year old mother. Finished the book on the last day of the visit and she questioned me about it. I knew she liked murder, mysteries and wasn`t a fan of gremlins, unlike me. Explained that the gremlins were pretty tame and I thought that she would enjoy it, so she asked if she could read it and I lent it to her. I doubt whether she had ever read a Stephen King book in her life and am interested in the future to hear her thoughts.

I loved Joyland.
I know it was a bit heavy on the romance for some people, but I enjoyed it as a change of pace. I would love to see it made into a movie some day. Don't know if it's popular enough for that to happen, though.
