First off, keep in mind, this figure is based off of how Spidey appears in Homecoming and not the comic, so there are minor differences costume wise, there's also a rare version of the figure that comes with a head sculpted to look like Tom Holland, that isn't the one I'm reviewing however.
To begin with one gets three head sculpts, the difference between each head sculpt is in the eyes, there's a wide eye version, a slightly smaller white eye version, and a more menacing nearly closed eye version. Hand wise, tons of different hands but only two allow one to snap in the webs you'll see in the pic below. Personally, I decided to go without the webs since they're too solid in my opinion, looks like the figure is shooting out semen from his wrists rather than webbing. Also, I went with a more generic standing pose for one reason, most of the costume is the normal material like Mezco's other figures, but the upper torso, upper arms, and feet, they use a vinyl like feeling material, just have a feeling if the parts of the body where that material is are bent for too long it may wear crack. Also, I'm not fond of the fact they went with the material for the feet, felt they should have gone with plastic painted feet like most of their other figures. However, since I don't play with these figures and they just sit on display, and the case has a lid, should be fine. However, as always, these figures are for adult collectors who just put the figure in a pose, put it on display, and rarely fiddle with them.
Spider-Man... Spider-Man... dooo dooo doo.. da da dooo...
Yeah, I said I was taking a break but I did say if I came across a good deal I may change my mind, got a good deal. As for the figure, if you're a Spidey fan, this is the figure you want. Looks close enough to the comic version while still being based on Homecoming, which is the present and future of Spider-Man, I don't think they'll go the alien black outfit route with the new franchise, they already did that with the Maguire franchise, and you'll notice they didn't even do the Uncle Ben death thing in Homecoming. Think the new one made his debut in an Avengers film that I didn't see though, so maybe they show Ben's death in that film? No clue... But hey, we got an Aunt May upgrade. I always felt she was too old to be his aunt in the comic, and too old in the Maguire films, and closer in the Garfield ones, but Tomei is ideal, and she's hot.
