I'm not much of a sports fan, but I appreciate the women gymnasts and their athleticism. I love watching them fly over and under the uneven parallel bars. The Floor exercises are pretty cool too. The balance beam scares the bejesus out of me. ( all things serve the Beam though, don't they!)
I admit I miss seeing the amazing Simone Biles, but she is only human - and a good human being at that. I hope she can get past the twisties. It has got to be hard for her to admit.
Suni Lee was wonderful. Super proud of her.

Canada just got the Gold in women's eight rowing (last time they won the event was 29 years ago in 1992)
Unfortunately one of our female divers (Pamela Ware) completely failed a dive and just dropped off the end of the board

Poor thing - she's from Quebec
Afterwards she just went to sit in the hot tub with a blank stare on her face

These young men are amazing.
Noah Lyles, Kenny Bednarek, Erriyon Knighton — Men’s 200 meters
These athletes have run three of the five fastest times in the world this year, making Team USA hard to beat in the men’s 200 meters. Lyles, the defending world champion, secured his place as the favorite by winning the Trials final in 19.74. Bednarek, the Trials runner-up, is also on the rise with a new personal best of 19.78, which is ranked second in the world. After breaking Usain Bolt’s junior record, Knighton, the 17-year-old sprint sensation, could sneak in for a medal as well.

Good for him and Canada!
(...always rooting for Canada in hockey, during the Winter Olympics. 'Merica too, of course! 😊 If my U.S.A. teams I love don't make it to the Stanley during NHL season, I'm always wishing and want it to be CANADA! Hell, THEY gave us the World ICE Hockey!!!! 😄😊❤...and I love their moving National Anthem to, at Hockey games😊. One of the best.🙂 Just sayin'!...for future reference.... .... Need to find time to check out the Beach Volley Ball during these Tokyo Olympics too, very soon.)

Commiserations @kurben - you're team played very well throughout the tournament and should be proud of themselves! Anything can happen in a penalty shootout and that was in full effect with this match. What a penalty shootout though, really riveting. The goalkeepers for each team can be really proud of themselves.
Credit to Canada though. I didn't think they had a chance of going all the way, but they; incredible.
Sorry USA, when it comes to women's soccer, you're not the best in North America anymore.
