I Just Finish this Story Last Night an There was a Few Parts That Had Me Lost an I was Wondering if Y'all Could Help Clear Tings up for Me Please?
1) Who was The "Green Man" That Appeared Just To Give Lois Her Earrings Back an Lois Say She wasn't Sure If it/He or W/E was Actually Good or Bad?
2) Who is Patrick Danville an Why was it So Important for Clotho an Lachesis to Have Ralph to Save Him. They Mention He Has to Give His Life to Save 2 People 18 Years in The Future That are Very Important but idk What they Mean...like it from a Story I Just Haven't Read Yet or?

Wow, it's been a while but i think The Green man is described as being "good" and has a green aura. Since he helped Ralph fight the Crimson King, he can be considered to be on the purpose.
I think it was just supposed to be some vaguely defined, powerful being from a higher level of the Tower

DizzyThe Green man is a "Deus Ex Machina" that appears in the novel Insomnia. Not much is known about the Green man. He appears to Lois and tells her to give Ralph her earrings that she previously had stolen by Atropos. In doing so, Ralph was able to surprise the Crimson King by stabbing him with Lois's earrings which broke the Catfish illusion the Crimson King had on. This gave Ralph the chance to set off his booby-trapped arm to drive away the Crimson King.
The Green man is described as being "good" and has a green aura. Since he helped Ralph fight the Crimson King, he can be considered to be on the purpose.
Not much is known of the Green Man since he doesn't appear in any other Stephen King novels, but he could be the energy of Maturin because of his green aura. He can also be a manifestation of Gan.
If you have not read the Dark Tower books, I can not say too much about Patrick. BUt he will play a very important roll in the story due to his artistic abilities.

wolf What Do you Mean Tie into Rose Madder? I J/W because I Going to Read That Book Next! I think you will see when you read "Rose Madder" Sis. I actually got to read that book before I read "Insomnia". I think I am recalling correctly. Dang I haven't read those since the late 90's. I have got a PRETTY GOOD memory, but I've read so many books, and it has been a long time.....that's why I put a, "Right?" at the end of my post quoting Lady spideyman .🙂
....I remember Ms. Mod saying, back on the SKMB, that she doesn't do much rereading of books, because she has so many "first reads" to get to....that's not verbatim, quoting her there, but it's the gist of the situation. I am like her in that way. 🙂

Right? wolf Rose Madder and Lisey's Story have connections to The Dark Tower books. I do not recall any connection to Rose Madder from Insomnia.Thank you, Lady. 🙂 Seems like I remember at the end of "Insomnia", the trek up to that 'half-way house'...it was where Rose had been staying in "Rose Madder"....but like I said, it's been a long time, I might not be remembering correctly. And I thought MUCH of "Rose Madder" was related to things in "Lisey's Story" and particularly 'Booya Moon'. Like always, appreciate your help. I DO really enjoy threads like this Dizzy , with all the questions and answers everyone bring.🙂 I am no where near as adept as JB/ darkharbinger , at remembering and keeping up with all the repeated 'SK locations' in the all of his varied stories and books. 🙂

The green man is never really explained (in my head cannon he was James Gardner from the Tommyknockers lol) and Patrick Danville shows up in the last part of the Dark Tower.

I Remember That Cynthia Girl From Rose Madder also Being in Desperation too. She The One With her Hair Dyed 2 Different Colors lol. Wow....good for you remembering details like that Sis! I'm searching my memory more now.🙂 I really liked "Desperation" too.
...hmmm...seems like I remember 'miners' being involved in the history/backstory in that one...and that "Tommy Knocker Man" thing being mentioned.... I always felt like "Tak" came up out of one of 'Those SOUR Places'...that someone just had to dig up. 😊😉 In "Desperation" I had other parts of the story that held my attention more. I particularly liked 'the writer' and the boy in it. 🙂 What do think JB?.... darkharbinger , do you think you might sometime consider starting a thread about about "crossovers and links in SK stories and places/settings"? Maybe? I can't think of anyone better to do it but you. 😊 People could come ask questions, and you could answer whenever you have time. .....Just a THOUGHT.....lol, I have A LOT of THOSE wild things, they're not always good ideas. 😂😉

I'd be happy to Wolf. One of the things that drew me to King was his shared Universe. it's why I like Marvel more than DC, its awesome where another story peaks in at the story you are reading. One of my fave often over looked ones is when Rachel Creed drives past Jerusalem's Lot.
